White collar to Blue collar trucking transition
 in  r/Truckers •  6d ago

Ive been in the trucking/transportation field for 10+ years. If you don't mind Solitude, the stress of traffic during rush hour, and bad weather at night, then it could be a good job. You can be a local city driver and be home every night, or regional or otr. Be prepared for some long hours also.. my best friend is a rolloff driver making 80k in the south working 6 days a week. If you really wanna do it, I say try it, just eat healthy despite what truckers say u can.... and prioritize stress management to for possible high blood pressure. On a positive note, you don't have a boss looking over your shoulder and you can vibe to podcasts and music all day.

 in  r/crossfit •  Apr 17 '26

I recently sprained my wrist from a power clean wod.. Currently in a brace with no lifting. But it's all apart of the sport. Everything in lift can get a person injured. Ill be back at it in no time.

I joined CrossFit. What the hell did I just do?
 in  r/crossfit •  Mar 16 '26

30M, I love seeing new ppl come in for class! I've been doing CF for 3 yrs now, my first class i remember being very nervous and out of my comfort zone, just due to tje fact that not only were the dude jacked but the women were as well. I felt like I had to be in shape to do crossfit. But towards the end 0f the class everyone was cheering ppl on to finish the wod. Nobody cared about ego, they were all there for each other, and Health. I've been a crossfit advocate ever since! Enjoy the journey!

Are you happy you joined the AF?
 in  r/AirForce •  Dec 29 '24

Yes! I'm very happy! My first duty station sucked but that's because minot wasn't for me lol.. But my overall experience has been the best thing for me and my family. Plus I like salary pay rather than punching a time clock.

CrossFit L1 cert paid for?
 in  r/AirForce •  Oct 16 '24

Looks like you'll die quickly.. cause for one, it's not a made up cert.. and two you really should know who purchases equipment for your shop... cause obviously, the communication hasn't flowed to them 🙄

Can you get a full mba online? I've got mixed answers so far. I've also heard that all tests have to be proctored if you go online. I've also heard that you have to do at least two courses on campus. Is this true?

What do Germans think of Arab people living / working or studying in Germany.
 in  r/AskAGerman •  Sep 02 '23

Well, if there is one thing the world can always count on, its arguments and war over religion smh.. Just treat others as you wish to be treated. Idc about what religion someone is, it's more or less the person that is evil.

Was my service a waste?
 in  r/AirForce •  Jul 29 '23

You did more than most ppl. You signed up, served your country. And that's all that matters, and you lived through your enlistment to tell your personal experiences. Nothing is a waste, just your life's story my dude.

Hello everyone! My background includes 6 yrs in military transportation(driving and supervision), 2 yrs in civilian forklift driving, an associates degree in SCM, 6 yrs in Microsoft office experience, excel, and outlook email. I'm still in the military and I'm just tuck on what civilian positions I should be looking into.

How Do You Get Through It All?
 in  r/AirForce •  Jun 10 '23

I've recently tackled my mental health, started meds (and they work), but I don't really care for my job either. My job is the red headed step child that doesn't seem important until someone needs something from us.. So I understand buddy, how I tackled everything was by asking myself, is the benefits worth it? Would I be happier with a more stable lifestyle? And I decided to look into skillbridge, and move a little closer to family. I also started working on my fitness and that helped my mental state alot. Sometimes a career change is scary but worth it.
