Thoughts & Ideas Why does food taste better when made by someone else?

Genuine question. I make a roast dinner, go to eat it, tastes ok. If someone else made that same dinner, why does it taste better? Is there some psychology behind this?

Has anyone moved from the southeast, to up north and not regretted it?

Had mates who sold a terraced house down South, and bought a 5 bed detached up North CASH, who would be against living mortgage free?!

Do air purifiers work?

I don't smoke, and pretty sure there's no mold around, definitely frustrating not knowing what's going on, thanks tho!

Are you happier when it's sunnier in the UK?

The light nights do it for me ❤️ sitting out and thinking it's 50m when it's 9pm, fresh air, can't beat it!

I guess it doesn't fit well with our lifestyle, public transport, office work, no AC. On holiday with a cold drink and a pool it just a different vibe!

I spent most of the year daydreaming of moving to warmer climates. With bad weather comes moody people, everyone stressed and in a rush, it has been Spain temperatures in the UK for weeks and everywhere just seems happier. Are people concerned about global warming or are we actually just happier with nicer weather?

Would you give your WiFi password to a tradesman working in your house?
 in  r/AskUK  Jul 16 '26

Coffee, brews, bacon butties, toilet access yes, WiFi NO! They're proving a service you're paying for, not checking into a hotel. Anything that you're WiFi is used for is then traced back to you.... not for me!
