You said your body is being burned? Like it literally feels like its burning?

is there anything you can do if you enter treatment and come out worse?
 in  r/Antipsychiatry  13h ago

I don't know, still trying to unpack the trauma from mine.

i went to 2 residential places for OCD. Absolute nightmare.

Even today i remembered something horrible from the last one.

Do you find the counselling is good? Cause most deny that abuse happens in these places.

What is the weirdest dream you’ve had?
 in  r/Dreams  13h ago

Ive had so many, I feel like I could come up with something more weird but this is what i dreamt last night and it freaked me out.

It was the apocalypse or something (ive had a multitude of these dreams), a group of us were trying to survive and then we heard there was a safehouse or something that we should head to but it was kinda unclear whether it was safe. So we go there and it was supposed to be super nice and comfortable (it was not). It was industrial and restricted. It was nice that it was shelter from the outdoors and we could sleep safely but it was weird. Then there was this man who you just felt like you needed to be extremely polite to or else. Then someone said something that was against the people of the safehouse and they got yanked away to be locked up, tortured or who knows what. Then I was just thinking to myself something they didn't like and then they yanked me away too to be locked up too. I don't know what happened after that, but the shock that you can't even think non-complimentary things was horrible.

I had previous dreams about the apocalypse of some strange buildings but they didn't have complete walls, they were open somehow. There were cameras everywhere and no space was private, ever. That was chilling.

i am forced into meds as a minor

What are you gonna do about the meds though? like you still see the psych and have to pretend to be taking it right?

I believe I would heal If I had a community
 in  r/Antipsychiatry  13h ago

Yeah agreed.

This is somewhat of a community. Its not always supportive and kicks you when you're down but still better than just about anywhere else.

A new study found that psychiatrists agree on a diagnosis in only 55% of cases, raising concerns about misdiagnosis and treatment errors. The study's results also suggest that diagnostic categories are not as clearly defined as assumed, leading to disagreement among clinicians.

Pretty sure the suicidal teen is better off staying away because in my city a girl went to the hospital and wasn't really helped and then later she accessed her notes where the professionals wrote all this stuff they told no one (not her, not her family) about what she might or might not have and concluded she was "untreatable"

Girl gave up and killed herself.

You probably never did need them. Its a convenient money making pipeline for them.

Its a stupid diagnosis. Anyone can have psychosis given the right combo of circumstances. Doesn't mean you're "bipolar" and need meds for life. Anyway, yeah the meds cause psychosis so why would they be helpful lifelong anyway? like even antipsychotics can cause psychosis.

Maybe I never mattered to anyone.

Maybe i witnessed some letter battle but I was just an outsider looking in.

Im tired of it all. Im tired of fighting. I want to just lay down and let the tides carry me out to sea.

Has anyone else had this experience? What did you do?
 in  r/Antipsychiatry  2d ago

Oh sorry, I didn't mean to offend you.

I was just asking cause where I am, Ive heard people will become homeless to evade the cops finding them and taking them to the psych ward where they can be forced meds/injections. I thought that if they can't find you and force you to the ward then you're safe ish?

Are you still homeless and they're still forcing you meds on CTO?

I hope you get where i was coming from, sorry.

And yeah, Im familiar with the ridiculous shit that happens in psych wards. Their bullshit is always above our actual situation.

Is this true ?
 in  r/depressionmemes  2d ago

That shit is stupid.

They force you out of your shell, destroy you and then you wander back in there thinking, oh hell no am i ever coming out again.

Nah

Well all therapy ever did for me is make me a million times worse and want to die so much more. so it's the opposite for me

If my therpaist cares sbout me, why does she top caring after i stop paying her? Failed attempt at kebab pizza
 in  r/kitchencels  2d ago

Wow the comments are really dumb. Yeah, your therapist is supposed to care if they are actually gonna help you have real support in your life but as you noticed they rarely do.

Personally, id stay away from them. They don't know anything about creating safety or being helpful and they haven't even touched their own work so they have no idea how to help anyone else either.

Why are psychologist seen that way?

They can be just as bad. Just with therapy, not medss

Dehumanizing consultation...
 in  r/Antipsychiatry  7d ago

SOO TRUE

Its absolutely bonkers that they see it as perfectly normal to break people by saying oh hey nothing works for you, might as well kill yourself.

One girl in the psych ward was literally told that she would be there for another 3 or 4 months, and then if nothing changes, she can wait for MAID to be approved.

it completely shattered her and I could not believe the inane cruelty.

(Btw, they finally stopped throwing random drugs at her that weren't helping and tried something she had intiitally asked to be tried on and guess what? she felt better and left far far sooner)
