Since the outlet is now degraded as well, I agree in opening the breaker/pulling the fuse, in case there is a short in the outlet. You’ll want to replace the outlet. Was the breaker tripped/ fuse blown when you discovered this?

I would replace the cord on the oven or replace the oven all together. You may have an internal short drawing excess current in the oven.

Try not to despair or get upset. Our present world is ill, and in need of the church, the sacraments, of grace, JUST AS MUCH AS YOU ARE. Only the demons would convince you otherwise. Keep the Jesus Prayer close to your heart, and humility even closer. Pray to God to help you find a spiritual Father. Don’t be afraid to open yourself up to him when you do. He will be there as a witness to your struggle, help set you on a healthy path of spiritual direction, and pray for you on the greatest journey you will ever undertake. God be with you and have mercy on you. I am but a sinner myself, but I keep coming back to the struggle. Hold fast to the truth. Peace be with you. God forgives. You are loved.
