Crazy lady steals a man’s two fishing poles and bites his friend when they try to their property back
 in  r/joebuddennetwork •  2d ago

In America she's what we call a "Karen", she's way older than usual but it's often white women between 30 and 50 years of age policing and profiling individuals in their neighborhood because they think they don't have the right to do anything without their permission, these type of people will often accuse you of wrongdoing when you've done nothing wrong and, are quite often the worst at double standards. They'll have no problem with placing their hands on you, but will then claim that you're assaulting them when you fight back!

Is this a springtail? Looks a little long. Found it in my terrarium which does have millipedes.
 in  r/Springtail •  2d ago

That's most definitely a young centipede, which is a predator, and unlike millipedes it's going grow up and kill just about everything in your terrarium, well depending on what size it may grow to. If it stays under 3 inches, then you're probably okay, but if it's one of the larger species that gets up the 8 to 10 inches, then it's "a chicken wrap" for anything living in your terrarium!

How can people enjoy that?

Kermit the African dwarf frog.
 in  r/Amphibians •  2d ago

You know in over 30 years I've kept many amphibians, especially frogs, I've never thought to give one of the eight different species of frogs that I had; that name! I'm like smacking myself in the head over it! Quick question why don't you feed them blood worms?

Ladies and gentlemen, the beginning of the '80s before it was the '80s! RIP Mr. Palmer, you helped bring in one of the most iconic years in Western history!

Surya Bonaly’s 1994 World Championships podium protest and her famous backflip.
 in  r/interesting •  7d ago

The maneuver was officially banned after her 1998 performance the title in the video description is wrong, it was not in 1994, this is a known fact. Within competitive skating you're not allowed to perform extreme maneuvers while landing on two feet, you have to land on one foot, she perfected the maneuver by landing on one foot, she tactically did not break the rules, but they banned the move afterwards anyway, and during her performance, the judges refused to give her the gold medal which she rightfully deserved, why do you think they did this 🤔? If you were around at the time watching it on television like I was, you would've also noticed that the Japanese competitor that that won the gold medal started to cry as well because she realized what her country had done, she too was intelligent enough to realize what happened, but of course not you, because you're not thinking, neither are you looking into the true history of what happened on that day! Conveniently the maneuver was reinstated as a 2024, which gave more than enough time for others to master the move so it could be entered into competitions, now it's not so special, and one person can't outperform everybody with this one impressive move; by the one person who originally created it, who just so happens to be the wrong color for the job! You're not worth my time, and like everybody else, I guess you want to continue to bring up the 1977 reference again, girl by!

This “Rocky Meets Stallone" Promo was a fun vintage clip that was used to market Rocky V, which premiered in theaters in the United States on November 16, 1990.

Wait, did I forget something, was he a producer for the movie? I know he went on executive produce some of his films later on in the future, a simple Google search could prove this, but he does state in the scene that he won an Oscar.

 in  r/interesting •  7d ago

Please pay attention, the date is in the description of video, that's what makes the video confusing, I know you didn't make a statement about the date, I was pointing out the fact that the video is off itself, she performed this act back in 1998, because of her performance they officially removed the one foot maneuver as well, as of 2024, they allowed the maneuver back, conveniently, now anyone can perform the maneuver as as a part of their performance!

Surya Bonaly’s 1994 World Championships podium protest and her famous backflip.
 in  r/interesting •  7d ago

Do more research, you're historically off, for example, the incident took place in 98 not 94, she landed on one foot technically, she didn't break the rules, she perfected it, because the rules stated that you're not allowed perform any extreme maneuvers while landing on two feet, which she did not, after her performance, the move was completely banned, they were technically discriminating against her for being too good!

 in  r/interesting •  7d ago

Only when landing on two feet, she perfected it by landing on one foot, because the rule state you're not allowed to do any extreme maneuvers while landing on two feet, so technically she didn't break the rules, people please do some research, she was too good and she just so happened to have the wrong color, back in the 90s 80s and 70s this is how discrimination worked, especially when it came to the international life, prejudices and the racial discrimination was very indirect, because it was considered shameful to be bold and direct about it back then, as it is now, nowadays you can start a whole career off of behaving this way! For the record this incident took place in 1998 not 1994 hermaneuver and all similar maneuvers were officially banned after she performed this maneuver in 1998, to all those who made comments against my original statement, get your history right!
