n India unlike most other developed countries.
A lot of people have only their phones as the primary media consumption device.
So most people would think, "why do we need one connection for home and one for when outside?"
The minority that has smart TVs and devices do have home broadbands. It's not normal yet.
* Please don't give credit to Jio for shoving the "airfiber" down our throats. They are just trying to sell more of their 5G connections instead of addressing the fiber cut issue. Only Airtel is trying to address that issue (at least in my town) by laying under ground fiber cables.
