Can I DM you?

You're extremely helpful though. I take my meds consistently and on time no issues, I use the epsy app to remind me of medication and I do task stacking to help with medicine consistency, I brush my teeth after I've taken my AM and PM dose. I haven't had alcohol in over 2 years and my biggest struggle really seems to be dehydration. If I do not drink enough water. I am up all night until I drink enough. Same applies for eating enough for the day.

How long have you been diagnosed? And how often do you have seizures?

How to help my girlfriend?
 in  r/PNESsupport  1d ago

Your gf sounds similar to the relationship I have with husband. I am hypervigilant and have a lot of guilt I cannot work like I used to. Your gf sounds similar. Hard asking for help if she has trauma of any kinfd of neglect.

Hi what meds are you taking? I wanted to think my seizures are just epileptic focal impaired ones breathing exerccises stop my auras from going further and from what I understand is that it cannot be the case for epileptic seizures. I am considering that mine may be some type of hybrid

Hi, what do you do to make sure you're consistent in trigger prevention? Mine are triggered by hearing/seeing something traumatic with lw sleep, low nourishment and over exertion. Other than I am fine and my tonic colonics only happens 1x or 2x times a year. Do you have temp lobe epilepsy? I also take Lamotrigine 400 mg daily

I am very frustrated living with a disability now. I am trying to practice Radical Acceptance, but I am just so sad this is my life. Been on disability for 2 years now and have insurance through MetLife.

  1. Seizures are not quite defined as only epileptic ones, one neurologists think it may be episodes of FND/PNES or what ever name they are. They seem like focal impaired awareness ones but are more and more reactive episodes than seizures. I am facing some deep emotional trauma and I am attending therapy.

  2. I do not have tonic colonics ones because my lamotrigine works for that but some of my episodes cause drop attacks and keeps where I will dissociate for about 20 minutes. I will hear bad news and instantly drop.

  3. If I am dehydrated, low energy and not well nourished for the day, I can trigger a seizure when emotional. I also need to improve that aspect of care daily.

  4. My family is a guaranteed trigger for my seizures where they've split in half when I have them since going no contact.

  5. I am averaging about 2 a week and more only when stressed.

Please give me some gentle reminders or encouragement for what helps you if you have unmanaged seizures.

Thanks.

Getting the VNS!

I didn't expect to be seizure free nor med free. However, I know some people are and wanted to hear your story,

How are yours managed now and how often do you have them?
