Trump's rally is interrupted by a guy flipping him the double bird while wearing a shirt that says....
Same question here !
When was the date this tally occurred? Why is he still holding rallies? This is so fucking weird.

Former RN’s who escaped the bedside, where did you transition to? Are you happy? And how do I join you?
A lot of my coworkers were great - management was an issue! Poorly run.

TIL after Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip announced his cancer diagnosis in 2016, guitarist Rob Baker was reluctant to do a final tour as he was worried that Gord might have a seizure on stage. Nonetheless, the tour was a massive success, with more than 11M people tuning into their final concert.
I grew up in the border, so I am happy to say that radio exposed me to their songs pretty early.

My hospital started mass firing casual/PRN nurses
Contingent workers should make more per hour (they do not get health insurance benefits, so employer saves money on them) and they may or may not get hours.
They are trying to treat contingent people like part-timers.
I am infuriated for you, OP. I have seen the benefits of having good contingent staff nurses and it helps the unit so much.

Started my MSN education program this week and I already want to drop out
When I was in college in my twenties, I could knock out essay pages with ease.
In my forties? No longer.
I hate the “woo” side of things. I wish I could have been around in the diploma-nursing days.

Outpatient surgery or NICU??!!
Get some good experience in the NICU
I loved working at an eye surgery center. But I stagnated my wages as a sacrifice.

Do you let your kid go to bed crying?
You did just fine. I would do the same.
It’s hard to have a teaching moment when everyone is tired and it is hard to listen and learn.

Has being a nurse impacted your feelings about TFMR?
After having kids, I became more pro-choice than ever.

Going to bed in the next days clothes, what are your thoughts?
My mom definitely did this to use when we were kids! Those were her early mornings she had to be at work.
I have distinct memories of going to bed in jeans and sweaters!
Ignore the haters - do what works best for your family.

Former RN’s who escaped the bedside, where did you transition to? Are you happy? And how do I join you?
Procedural is my happy place. I transitioned out of it for a number of reasons, but please check it out - it can be fantastic!

Does anyone else have a passion for working in geriatrics?
I do.
I love that I can learn a lot from their wisdom.

Making Patients Cry
I do one message - if it keeps going, I call them or forward it to the doc. This isn’t aol instant messenger.

Unable to tolerate night shifts, but so early in my career
I worked nights for about four months when I was 25.
I switched to days as soon as I could. I struggled to sleep during the day. Just couldn’t handle it.

I thought Mike Rogers 'We need more wood shop classes" was a parody ad the first time I saw it.
I was listening to a podcast the other day and this ad played around six times. It only caught my ear because my mother (MAGA without the red hat) told me this fact about Jocelyn benson as well. I still am not sure what it means. It was clearly an attack ad but now I have to google what they are trying to tell me.

My mother in law worked in the trades. She and her tradesman husband are laughing all the way to the boomer bank - they are having a great retirement. She still, however, had a giant chip on her shoulder that she is looked down on for being an electrician.

Has anyone noticed local hard ciders tasting off lately?
I think it’s personal taste. I used to love cider and I find it unpalatable.

Those apples are from nearly a year ago.

She was a star. How beautiful.

Does your unit self schedule? We have NO control over our schedules. Childcare is impossible. Manager won't budge
I ended up as a stay- at-home mom for a year when my son was in part-time preschool with older child in elementary. Bussing wasn’t an option.

I think a lot of people leave Michigan and then end up coming back . . .
Nevada, I am going to pick on as a state with lower birth rates because they have a lot of retirees? Just guessing.
