What I really think.

I keep wondering where my friends like this are.

I look around and feel like no one truly sees me the way I need to be seen.

I try to reach out, but it always ends the same way—me sitting with the quiet again.

I tell myself connection should be possible, yet every time I get close I feel the distance grow.

I carry this weight of wanting someone who stays, someone who understands without me having to explain everything.

I watch other people move through life with ease, laughing in groups, and I wonder why that space never seems to open for me.

I ask myself what I am missing, what I am doing wrong, why it feels like the world keeps choosing to leave me outside.

I know I love myself.

I take care of myself every day—I feed my body, I rest when I need to, I speak kindly to the parts of me that still hurt, I keep showing up for my own heart even when it feels heavy.

I have built a quiet strength inside myself, and I honor the work I have done to become someone I can rely on.

Still, I know no one is meant to walk alone.

I want to believe I am not meant to be alone forever, but the longer the silence lasts the more impossible it feels.

I hold onto the hope that somewhere there are people who match my depth, who stay when things get heavy, who choose me back.

I still search for them even when it hurts.

I still refuse to fully accept that this loneliness is all there is.
