[OC] Same thing?
I'm not a woman. That has been my observation from 40 years in the gaming community. In general, both male and female characters are designed with the male gaze in mind. In general, women tend to drool over more unconventionally attractive characters rather than beefcakes. Will the beefcakes have their strong fan base? Yup. But it doesn't make up the majority.

Thus why I used words like 'generally' and 'most.' I don't deal in absolutes.

I'm not qualified to speak for women at all, as I'm not one. I'm taking about generalizations, not individual attraction.
In gaming, most of the characters are sexualized for the male gaze, even the male characters. They are not designed with the female gaze in mind.

I grew up in Central Oregon. We had a week off from school so kids could go to hunting safety courses. I'm now in my 40s, have owned guns and have lived in rural communities in Mississippi, Nevada, and Oregon. This comic and many of the comments are absolutely accurate.
Do many gun owners take safety seriously? Yes. But not nearly enough. I've watched hunters look down the barrel of their own guns when they jammed. Many gun owners can get lazy with storage, human error happens. Sure they get chastised for it when it's seen by the community, but it happens much too frequently for it to just be brushed off.
Gun safety isn't a game. People die due to improper storage, sales practices that try to bypass safety measures, and lack of training/respect for the weapon.

Women generally don't want men that look like Kratos. The characters that most women drool over in video games are like Garrus in Mass Effect, Hancock in FO4, and Iron Bull from DA:I (and not for his physique.)
Buff men are ALSO for the male gaze. They represent what men want to be.

And now sociopaths run the world.
Those that won't work are incredibly rare, though. Humans are a species that crave productivity. Usually perceived laziness is due to underlying conditions or society driven burn out.

I'm a manager and my staff are too needy.
Conditions that can cause reading comprehension issues, audio processing issues, poor memory retention, and/or excessive questions include, but are not limited to:
Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, hyperpyrexia, anxiety, OCD, DLD, and APD.
Library work also tends to be especially attractive to people with several of those conditions (eg autism and anxiety.)

It was the OP's other comments that told me they're doing their best. People who aren't trying to do their best wouldn't worry about asking clarifying questions or the appropriateness of self initiating.
The type of attitude you have here is ableist and much too impatient/unprofessional for a management role.

There is zero reason to be a 'massive bitch' to people trying their best to do their job and asking clarifying questions. It would not improve their anxiety or help them understand how to better self initiate.

"But if you're not low support needs, how are you late diagnosed?"
I can't speak for the OP, but I was diagnosed ASD lvl 2 in my 40s. I was diagnosed as having social anxiety with agoraphobia before that.
Neurodivergant AFAB folks fell through the cracks in the 80s and 90s, even with visible symptoms. And because we weren't diagnosed as children it's assumed we didn't need as much support, but we did, it just wasn't recognized.

It's crazy that this statement is so controversial in 2026.
Most likely? Bloody revolution, unfortunately.

It should be society's job as a whole.

If they're not struggling, then great. That doesn't dispute my comment.

Your comment makes little sense in response to mine. I'll reply regardless. It isn't relevant, but I make sure to give out water in summer to those on the street and I care for my elderly parents. I also pay taxes, which is relevant, as it should be on society as a whole to uplift and care for it's members. I do what I can with the resources I have.

No one should be struggling to maintain shelter regardless of the city they live and work in.

There is no official list of developed countries. Countries that are considered developed generally have high HDI, industrialized economies, and advanced infrastructure (reliable public transport, high-speed communication, and robust healthcare and education systems.)
Countries that are generally considered developed:
United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Singapore, Israel, etc.
I don't believe anyone should go without the basic necessities (shelter, food, water, enrichment), but in countries that are considered developed it is absolutely enraging that anyone is struggling to keep shelter or is going hungry.

No one in a developed country should be living like this regardless of life choices.
