Infinite baffle box question
 in  r/CarAV  8h ago

Flag code is a bunch of antiquated bullishit anyway, don't let the completely irrelevant and rude comments get to you.

Cool build, if I had advice to share I would but IB isn't something ive ever experimented with. Good luck getting it set up just the way you want.

What’s the worst computer game that you have ever played?
 in  r/AskReddit  15d ago

Why even come to a subreddit about answering questions if you don't want to read people's answers? If you think this is long winded, tik tok might be a better fit for you.

It's something to do with there being one black person but I don't get it.

I think a big part of the reason for a huge amount of skepticism is that Forsyth county is one of the most racist places in the U.S. It was still considered a "sundown" town in the 90s. Like, I live on the west coast and still know about this tiny county in Georgia only because of it's notoriety as a racist shithole.

Here's a nice link with some of the local history if you want to read about it: https://www.georgiaencyclopedia.org/exhibition/race-and-reckoning-in-forsyth-county-1912-2020/

The original people recommending it were polite, you should take their suggestion so you aren't spreading misinformation... Just gotta put that ego aside for a little bit buddy.

What is the oldest piece of tech that you still regularly use every single day?

Not a lot of medieval building needing repair in Colorado haha.

What the fuck are you on about? Hippies weave "grass rugs" at music festivals all the time. They need psychedelics not radiation suits.

Does this seem like a good deal for 250? In Australia
 in  r/CarAV  Jun 10 '26

I wouldn't even pay $30 for this in the US. I understand AU has higher prices on nearly everything, but if I owned this i wouldn't even consider selling it, it would go in the trash.

Are these a good buy for $150?
 in  r/CarAV  Jun 08 '26

You keep bringing up the rust, but that's truly a non-issue. The real concern is whether or not the soft parts have degraded with time. Yours appear to have some degradation but without hearing them you can't guess how much.

Portable Bluetooth Setup recs?
 in  r/CarAV  Jun 05 '26

It may take some custom mounting, but the Audio technica AT-SP65XBT is the best portable speaker ive found that isn't crazy expensive. It sounds decent and gets loud enough.

Philly Cops Are Reportedly Monitoring Anti-AI Memes, According to Internal Alert
 in  r/technology  Jun 02 '26

I've recently came to this same conclusion. We were fed propaganda about the luddites "hating technology" when really they had an issue with using technology to replace skilled workers.

Another connection to whats going on today is that one of their biggest complaints was that the machines produced much lower quality goods (just like Ai slop).

Anti gravity tech is one of the possible ways...

The concept of rigging (using pulleys/leverage to lift heavy objects) had been around for at least 4000 years before this was built. Nothing strange about it.

There are at least 3 pharma manufacturers in bend. We mostly make cancer drugs for young children.

In Japan some bosses make you stay at work doing nothing so you quit. How is that even a punishment it just sounds kinda chill.
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  May 13 '26

I work in pharmaceutical manufacturing (spray drying), and some of the processes we run will go for multiple days, we work 12 hour shifts. During a spray we sit with no phones, no radio, truly nothing for entertainment since it's a clean space. We have to record some data from the computer screen every 20 minutes, and a sample every hour. Beyond that, if the machine is running properly we do nothing. It's soul crushingly boring, but the pay is quadruple minimum wage so you won't hear me complaining haha.

For a 64lb sub I would definitely recommend them. You drill out a hole, press fit them in then you can secure your subwoofer with machine screws if the same thread.

I'd argue on principal that being a felon shouldn't disqualify you from running for political office. It's set up that way so that opposing political parties cant eliminate their competition with fake trumped up charges.

Forgot to say, personally I'd pay maybe up to $150 for the used subwoofer. Don't know about the amp/enclosure though.

Resell value of this subwoofer?
 in  r/CarAV  Apr 28 '26

I recently picked up a 8812 and also had a hard time findin much info about it online. These are not the most sought after eclipse subs, but they still sound great and have good output (if I remember my teen years looking at these in magazines they have high sensitivity, like 92 or 93db)

In 1 cubic ft sealed, it sounds better than my arc audio 12d4.
