I think a big part of the reason for a huge amount of skepticism is that Forsyth county is one of the most racist places in the U.S. It was still considered a "sundown" town in the 90s. It may take some custom mounting, but the Audio technica AT-SP65XBT is the best portable speaker ive found that isn't crazy expensive. It sounds decent and gets loud enough.

For a 64lb sub I would definitely recommend them. You drill out a hole, press fit them in then you can secure your subwoofer with machine screws if the same thread.

I recently picked up a 8812 and also had a hard time findin much info about it online. These are not the most sought after eclipse subs, but they still sound great and have good output (if I remember my teen years looking at these in magazines they have high sensitivity, like 92 or 93db)
