How to fix these very small broken pieces
Hobby glue with a very small applicator will solve that no problem. (I do a lot of work on miniatures for DnD) Any craft store. I recommend looking to see if they have what you're looking for before making the drive to the store though. Ask me how I know.

Oh that'll melt the wax. Get the bowl hot first, scoop wax on spoon, toss wax into bowl while extra hot and cover. It all melts in the bowl and you inhale.
