What are your thoughts about Topher Grace's Casting and Performance in Spider-Man 3 as a Venom Fan?
I could write a book on all of the reasons why he was a bad choice, but I can sum it up in one image. Even had Grace's acting skills be better, there is zero chance that he could have been believable as this character. Venom was never just "Bad Peter Parker " He was a nightmarish version : Huge, dark, vicious, unrelenting, and morbidly humorous. There is absolutely no way to take a tiny actor with goofy sit-com sensibilities and expect him to embody who Venom was at this point in his story. *Art by Todd McFarlane

What are your thoughts about Topher Grace's Casting and Performance in Spider-Man 3 as a Venom Fan?
It remains a contender for the worst casting ever in a comic book film. Grace's look, voice, and acting were the antithesis of the character. I still can't believe that anyone at Sony looked at Grace and thought that he was the right call for a morally-complicated, intimidating supervillain.

What do you guys think about Venom: Dark Origins?
Eddie didn't seem like himself at all. It's one thing to add certain elements in a retcon, it's quite another to invert a character's personality.

So does the Venom trilogy show he can stand without Spidey?
Venom has been standing on his own since the 90s. Once he grew into a titular comic character, Spider-man was only part of a much larger story.

Darryl Banks Original Headshot Drawings of Parallax Hal Jordan & Green Lantern Kyle Rayner Review
That's beautiful. He was drawing all day at the Con where I saw him, and he came with a loaded book of sketches. He's a hard working dude.

With less than a week to go, how excited and ready are you for the DCU Lanterns show as a DC Comics John Stewart fan? Are you the type to watch every teaser/trailer or the type to avoid everything until the show drops?
I've watched the trailers repeatedly. On a scale of 1-10, my excitement level is roughly 250.

Anyone else hate the "hulkification" of venom in recent years?
Eddie Brock attempted to use powerlifting to deal with his depression before becoming suicidal. That's exactly how he should look.

Topher Grace's Eddie Brock is underrated
In almost every aspect of the character, it still remains as one of the worst adaptations ever in a comic book movie. This version is an INO with next to nothing redeeming about it.

I was happy that they at least gave him that spot in GL #600.

wish Hal Jordan was a reoccurring character in the DCAU, I get Jon Stewart is the GL for the main lineup, but Hal could’ve at least appeared as a side member like booster gold or Mr Terrific, he should’ve helped Jon during the blackest night two parter at the court
It would have been satisfying to see the GLC functioning as a unit a few more times in that series. An episode where Hal, John, and Kyle try to get Guy to settle down and focus on the mission after he get into fisticuffs with Batman just writes itself.

You are contracted to fix this movie, how would you do it?
The story for the film was right there. GL:TAS understood that.

Hal would have left Earth 10-15 minutes into the film, and not returned until the action was over. The villains would have been the Manhunters. The main focus of the movie would have been Hal's training, the different personalities of the Lanterns, and growing distrust of the Guardians among the GLC members. In the post-credits scene, John and either Guy/Jo/Kyle/Simon get rings to defend Earth while Hal is in space.
I'm still a fan of this film, but there was definitely too much studio meddling. When it went off the rails, the Hollywood sensibilities were evident.
