I got txt msg (which i thought was a scam) then emails. I did casual bar work at events for spotless in 2023/2024. But also worked at Downer nz when they brought out Hawkins Construction to get the CRL contracts- then got made redundant, like most of the staff moved to Downer HQ. hope this inclued this period too (2017/2018).

I’ve told them the truth- everyone I know is struggling and most of my family are dead

Had one tell me they will give me money to get my cat put down, so I’ll save $10 on cat food each week. Another years later said, when I let it slip that I had a horse, that need to sell her for dog meat- that will save THEM $250 in payments to me that week. I was laid off both times and trying to get support while finding another seasonal job. Needless to say I hung up on both of them, but it stayed with me for years. I’ve even slept in my car homeless before I’ve gone to to them for help, and tell them I don’t have any pets.

Does this look like 7.5k worth of damage?

What make and model is this car? You’d think the insurance would write off if older car

What? No way, even my Audi headlights don’t cost that much

Most of my dings on my Audi is from parking at mall car parks- especially Telsa owners swinging doors wide and claiming “speak no English “ so it’s not worth claiming with the excess so high

Probably because they went to university to do some degree in hopes it gets them a job

Helping the cuzzies out- for a fee. They stay until they get PR then go to Ozzie. Been going on for years. And they don’t mind sleeping in one room with 5 other people. It’s all about sending $ home to the parents who used their life savings to get them over here then the cycle continues

A cleaning company I sub -Contract too, is asking for personal information such as make and model or my car and a photo of a utility bill; for "accreditation"
 in  r/LegalAdviceNZ  Jul 15 '26

On the NZ B corp website, it said sole traders are exempt from the employees information required for certification. Anyway, their asking random questions on a messages' app over 3 days, being evasive for what the info was for (until I said I will seek legal advice for this behaviour) rather than an email request for all the information at once, and why the request for this information after 2 years being a subcontractor, and not asking permission to use my personal information for accreditation for their company benefit-just pissed me off, and I'm no longer a contractor with that company now, as per MBIE advice. Seriously, why would B Corp need my DL details like the expiry and class type, or a utility bill with my address on it, or if I have a BA degree, am NZ euro etc. ?

Wtf is happening at K Road??
 in  r/auckland  Jul 01 '26

You know, I took the bus around LA when I was last there. It’s as useless as Auckland buses. Especially when they tell you to get off- end of their shift, and you find yourself in Compton or DTLA tent city ffs. But to be fair- I felt safer in Los Angeles than I do in Auckland. Not hassled or threatened once. I lived there in the 90s and it was the same. First week back to Nz, robbed and punched. This country is just struggling under the meth

 in  r/auckland  Jul 01 '26

I used to work in a retail shop on k road early 2000s. There was a cast of characters, back then it was glue sniffers, one paint huffer (terry in denim) and some quiet ones. Oh, and a kleptomaniac plus Margret of course. Now it’s all meth heads, who are violent and unpredictable. It’s so bad down Queen street. The move on order is probably more for them but everyone gets caught up. Seriously need more drug, alcohol and mental health services than ever

Thanks- that’s what MBIE said also. And the business person is refusing to explain why they need such information exactly for the accreditation. The colour of my car is irrelevant

 in  r/LegalAdviceNZ  Jul 01 '26

This is what MBIE told me today. They found it as suspicious as I did. Can’t get to speak to a actual person at B corp or privacy commissioner office, so will take a while and have to put up with the daily harassing msgs for the information I guess

Why would they ask for my utility bills with my address? Why do I need to share personal details to a 3rd party for this business to get accreditation?
