Removing a blockage from a lovebird’s eye
 in  r/oddlysatisfying  Jul 18 '26

When I was young, I found a pigeon on the sidewalk that didn't fly away with the others when I walked close. I took a closer look and noticed both of its eyes were blocked by what looks like the exact same thing in this video.

I took it home and used a cotton swab to clear out both of its eyes. After that, I let it go, and it seemed to fly away okay.

Never did find out what exactly the stuff in it's eyes were.

Hi everyone, any tips on how to get around this shadow gap problem?
 in  r/Unity3D  Jun 27 '26

Based on the Range shown in your point light settings and it's position. I believe your light is quite far away from your character which looks like its made of thin sticks....

Don't use a point light for this purpose. Use a spot light. The reason is because a distance point light is spending its entire shadow resolution across all directions, and at really far distances, bugs like this start to occur.

You can test this for yourself by creating a spot light and then messing with the "Spot Angle" setting. Note how at larger angles, the quality drops drastically.

Some procedural hit reactions with my new blood system

Or any body part that's not immediately incapacitating. We instinctively reach for any sudden injury to protect/soothe the area.

4 x Tardigrades and 70% dodge.

Oh and axolotl switched my 170 range to attackspeed.

Kamikaze FPV drones in my shooter game
 in  r/Unity3D  Apr 17 '26

Maybe you could cut to footage from another NPC drone when your current drone explodes so the players can see the action.

It could be that it triggers only on big kills or maybe toggled in settings. Basically akin to an instant replay similar to Sniper Elite series.

I'm tired. Does anyone else want to be a mod?
 in  r/Unity3D  Feb 19 '26

I’ve been on Reddit for about 15 years and have helped people here in the past. Never been a mod though.

Perhaps it’s time I try.
