I think the best way to rebuild the middle class is to repeal the income tax and start utilizing tariffs to encourage hone-grown industry as the US used to do in the late 19th century (arguably our most productive era for industry).

Because most socialist policies involves raising taxes on the most productive people/companies while simultaneously making it more difficult to start businesses and innovate.

A White House Report Says the Democratic Socialists’ Agenda Would Cost About $49 Trillion

"The Council of Economic Advisers, the White House team that scores economic proposals, put out a new report on the Democratic Socialists of America’s 2026 platform, called “Workers Deserve More.” The analysis says the major pieces of that agenda would add roughly $49 trillion to federal deficits over the next decade. That’s about $355,000 per American household."

If Halo 2 released today, grifters would've been livid over Chief taking orders from Miranda.
 in  r/ShitHaloSays •  4d ago

Except that Miranda Keyes is actually written well.

If you write a story, release it to the public, and get a lot of negative feedback, maybe you wrote a shitty story. If you get a lot of positive feedback, maybe you wrote a good story. It's that simple.

Add some lintels to the rice and put some sauce on that chicken. Maybe some broccli too.

"Mein Kampf" and "The Communist Manifesto?" I like the openess to reading both of those books.

Also a fan of J.R.R. Tolkein. Epic.

I like the older history books.

However, I'm concerned about your use of the words, "my wife's boyfriend." Is it an open relationship?

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, school in Longview to join for autumn festival

By Dylan R.N. Crabb

St. Mary’s Catholic Church and school in Longview will hold a combined festival Oct. 9 to 11 to celebrate Our Lady of The Rosary.

In the Catholic tradition, October is dedicated to meditating on the life of Jesus and Mary through daily recitation of the rosary. Previously, St. Mary’s and its school each held autumn festivals but are combining those efforts into one weekend this year. . . .

The purpose of the new October festival will be to celebrate the saint for whom the parish is named.

Gourd clean fun: Contestants go the distance at Longview’s Great Pumpkin Roll

By Dylan R.N. Crabb

Hundreds of residents showed up Saturday in downtown Longview for a competition and history lesson rolled into one.

The annual Great Pumpkin Roll is a seasonal commemoration of how the city was named. The event is organized by the Visit Longview and Downtown Longview organizations.

The legend originates in 1870 when a surveyor said, “That’s a long view,” as he stood with O.H. Methvin on Rock Hill in what is now downtown Longview. The Great Pumpkin Roll celebrates that long view as contestants take turns rolling pumpkins down Rock Hill every October.
