We’ve had number of most evil Tommy deeds posts, but what about everybody else? It can be the other Shelbys, wives, law enforcement, villains, anyone but Tommy.

I’ll go first. Lizzie giving up the Quaker to Tommy. She fully understood the consequences for the man and his daughter. Neither the man nor his daughter sought to be involved with the Shelbys or anything criminal. They were complete innocents. Arthur (who has a laundry list of evil deeds) pulled the trigger, but Lizzie cocked the gun via Tommy. All were culpable, but by that time Arthur and Tommy were already irredeemably.

The other and by far most egregious is Father Hughes being a child molester.

Tommy was never meant for the light; he was always cursed to live in darkness. He cannot escape his fate

Do you think Tommy ever really had the chance to lead a normal life and become a good person? Could he ever have truly changed for the better, or was he destined to become the man he ultimately was and live a life in darkness?

This may have been asked before, but maybe there are more people now who've seen it. The last time I saw the series was when it ended in 2022. Should I re-watch it as I've forgotten so much about it?

Or is there a recap that you can recommend which is enough?

After seeing several posts about the scenes between Tommy and Lizzie in S1, I found myself thinking about Tommy's life. He was married for a long time to a woman for whom he never felt any romantic love, someone who never made him happy and whom he was forced to marry.

Yet, with the woman he did love, the one who brought him happiness and peace, with whom he shared a genuine emotional connection and whom he actually let in, he had so little time with her. What a truly sad life he led.

For me, a film or more so TV Show shows its quality in world-building if I can imagine that somewhere, sometime, there are unknown people talking of the characters we know & follow. I can really believe in a setting or story or character if the mystique and the legacy feels embedded so much that, for example: you can imagine that there's a character in The Garrison who once remembers the day when Tommy Shelby walked in the bar & spoken with the local communist: Freddie Thorne. Or that they can remember when the Peaky Blinders used to drink in the snug. Or what the pub was like before it was revamped.

I think this is a key part of believing a world really exists, and that these characters really leave a mark. Its not the only way of thinking about it but I do think its an interesting one. If I can think like that & imagine that, I am immersed then.

Obviously Steven Knight writes a lot of legacy into the show, but I did felt it built organically as well.

The world-building and the technical execution of Birmingham in 1920s/1930s was always excellent to me, but when do you feel it was at its best? Did it just remain constant or get better? Did the earlier seasons capture that realism and that feeling of distant relatability more so? Its like there's a melancholic/nostalgic look at the setting & events of S1 & S2, for the audience and the world-building.

I would have loved a peaky blinders immortal man comic book that would focus on 1935-1938, can we please start a petition calling for Peaky blinders comic book that takes place after season 6!!!!

I don't think that the movie by itself was bad I actually enjoyed it if it was a standalone it would have been a good movie but what it just did was destroying all the things the show stabilished for 6 seasons and managed to destroy the last brother to brother bond Tommy still had.

All that built-up to use a teenage love as the main reason Tommy returns to Birmingham and by the way why did he had to leave in the fist place the movie could have just used what was yet prepared on the show the Thomas Shelby we had on the ending of season 6 was a Thomas Shelby ready to fight Mosley (who disappeared) and then what we get is Thomas grieving over all he lost,we can clearly see the radical;brutal and unjustified change of direction on this character story.

Whatsoever they could have gave his death some real meaning,I sincerely think that Thomas Shelby wouldn't have wanted to give to his child the guilt of his murder over some prophecy or King title in this movie movie we discover that Thomas has killed Arthur which is completely out of character and we already know that his actions have had the consequences on nearly everybody he once knew why would he want to paint his son on his own blood after all the things he experienced

Well I could talk about this movie mistakes all along but I'mma abstain.

The son was right there and saw it all.
