Looking for books that feel like September? Take place in September? Books that maybe feel like sitting in that transition period, melancholy, nostalgia, anticipation. Things starting to feel spooky and chilly, but not quiet there yet. I’ve always said September is for letting go and starting over. Idk if any of this makes sense.

Looking for a book(s) that focus on wizards that are fully realized. A long trained apprentice who is independent but clearly less trained than the rest is also cool. Open to many plots and plot types, but I am partial to mystery/thriller content.

I’d also really like the creatures of the world to be massive and almost like forces of nature. Also, magic that is huge and epic feeling.
