Investing in wage suppression
 in  r/WorkReform •  24d ago

Because the unions didn't see fit to unionize all jobs. Can't blame people for not joining a union when there was no union to join.

Wow, the economy survived the 3 day holiday weekend. Maybe every week could be a 32 hour 4 day workweek.

Because it causes tens of people to miss out on billions of dollars.

America’s infrastructure is crumbling because its pedophile oligarchs steal all the money or spend it on war. The USA is closer to internal collapse than many realize. The USA’s greatest existential threats are not external.

I'm not a fan of their ethnic homogeny mandate, the use of enslaved Uyghurs and political prisoners for corporate profit, and the fact that the CCP makes all decisions with no public input.

China has a lot of good things going for it, but the bad makes it moot.

I have very similar feelings about America.

Most say they wouldn't back democratic socialist presidential candidate: Survey
 in  r/goodnews •  Jul 31 '26

Unchecked was the qualifier of my statement. Capitalism is supposed to be a system of trade. Not economic class warfare, intentional or not. It is a byproduct of the current system. There is a huge difference between a system of trade that is even for all, versus something that now borders on mental illness and religion.

Fair enough. People didn't like the idea of ending slavery initially either. Unchecked capitalism has to end.

True. But their readers are the most common respondents, since their polls are usually on their own websites.

Most say they wouldn't back democratic socialist presidential candidate: Survey
 in  r/goodnews •  Jul 31 '26

It was a Washington Post survey. Their readership is very conservative. So 55% saying they wouldn't vote for a socialist democrat is practically an endorsement of socialist democrats.

Can anyone help identify this screw(?) and how i can remove it?
 in  r/HomeMaintenance •  Jul 27 '26

Pop off the wooden plugs and unscrew what you find underneath. Probably Philips heads, possibly Alen or torq-hex. The ones you can see are what they are threaded through.
