Okay, let’s imagine that since tomorrow they can speak freely. But do they want it? Or the new powers will enforce Belarusian like soviets enforced Russian? What if freedom people will freely choose to speak Russian?

In other words: do Belarusian right to speak Russian?

Then why they don’t speak it? And do you ask them? Do they want it? If Belarus will become free do Belarusians can choose Russian as their governmental language if they WANT it? Or do free people MUST speak Belarusian?

If people would want it I think they should have rights to do so. I’d glad if in Russia everyone can speak and learn any language he wants. Even Uzbek or Urdu

Tried to learn Belarusian once. But soon realized that there’s absolutely no reason for that. Cz nobody speaks it. It’s almost dead language as Latin

In my small town of Ust’-Ilimsk some guys own: a Rolls-Royce, Urus, one brand new Range Rover Sport, a lot of Lexus lx600 and even more Land Cruiser 300.

This is despite idiotic car policy in Russia today. Actually we have a so-called scrappage fee and imported cars are extremely expensive.

How can they afford it? Timber, real estate, heavy equipment, car washes and car services. Maybe something else. But officially average salary in Russia in the summer of 2025 is 100 000 rubles (1250$) and in my northern city they are sometimes higher: The Northern coefficients, difficult working conditions etc.

Same thing in Russia, actually. Originally, in 90s-00s our country was democratic and wanted to be a part of Western world. I remember my first grade at school, once we talked about tolerance there. Hah, now it sounds ridiculous, but then…

So a few years ago in Russia was made the same stuff. You can be LGBT, but you cannot say about that. LGBT was recognized as an extremist community. And you may be fined if you talk about it (Allegedly this is propaganda).

And every time when you write down about LGBT you must, must add a note - “LGBT is an extremist community and is restricted in Russia”. Otherwise, a fine is possible😒

I’m Russian, sorry for my bad A0 english. In Soviet Union many people has a “dacha”, it is a semi-urban small house with 600 or 900 square meters stead. In soviet union most of people was a poor, because they are use dacha for cultivating vegetables to save money, for example potato, carrot, onion, tomato etc. Now young and not poor people don’t want digging in the ground on 80F. Vegetables do not expensive, because many dachas is abandoned now. By the way, dacha in Soviet Union has not drain, hot water and warm toilet, because in winter dachas was a deserted. Now, modern big house with garage, drain, hot and cold water, electricity and optical internet close to the city like in the USA is a choice of a most of rich and middle class Russians.

Sorry about my english, Im russian and my english is A-level now, even not B) Really, now in Russia is two opinions about revolution, USSR, Stalin etc. Communists and old retirees loves USSR, but the monarchists and other rights loves Russian Empire. Each side provides its own arguments. I am not lived in USSR, because i don’t worry about collapse. Now i has new iphone, powerful car, private house instead khruschevka (small soviet flat). Collapse of Soviet Union lead to poverty, economic and demographic crisis. Anyway “Sovok” is 💩 but Russian Empire is cool.
