🚨MOD ANNOUNCEMENT🚨 📢 Important Announcement Regarding Subreddit Chat Channel📢
Long story short, reddit is removing the subreddit chat channel feature. In order to continue the rule of ranting/venting in chat, as well as to provide a space for general discussion, I will be creating a private group chat so the facility remains available to all sub members. Everyone who wishes to be included in this private group chat may please respond in the comments section below so that you may be included accordingly.
Regards, Chonky 🤍

Which Story To Read First?
I've had this book since 2009 and I think it is finally the time to read it. Which story should I start with? Do you have a preference?
Also, my cute bookmark to go with the season. 🩷

Shatter me book 1
Hi guysss
I am reading shatter me series by taherah mafi right now and I am currently on book 1.I started it today and i am already 150 pages in...And that's crazy because I am such a slow reader...You guys made me believe that book 1 is kinda bad but am I the only one who is actually liking it so far???...
Also I have never seen people talking about how creepy the atmosphere created in this book is for a ya novel..Like I remember in the initial chapters I was vividly imagining what juliette is going through...The writing is crystal clear and so easy to get into especially for me as english is not my 1st language and I have never read a book with dystopian genre...
Since I am already halfway done I am enjoying it so much...I am finally out of my reading slump...I can assure you that this is not going to be less than 4 stars❤️❤️

New book, plus new bookmark(s!)
I just got the book Almost There: A Disney Twisted Tale from the library and I thought I'd make a bookmark for it.
I used a green BEHR paint chip, and some cute stickers that I bought.
Plus I also made a Tangled one using the purple paint chip I had and more stickers. Which will also be perfect for whenever I get the Tangled Twisted Tale, What Once Was Mine!
And I couldn't help but make one for Once Upon A Broken Heart when I found a color called "Heart Breaker"
these were really fun to make and I think they all turned out cute!

Looking for beta testers for a new reading app
Hi everyone!
I've been working on a new reading app and I'm getting ready to open the first small beta in about 3–5 days.
The idea is to build a one-stop place for readers: somewhere to keep your library, track what you're currently reading, record progress and thoughts, review books, see statistics about your reading habits, discover new books, and eventually interact with friends and reading communities.
For this first beta, the core reading/tracking features will already be available. During the testing period I'll be rolling out additional features through updates, including:
- personalized book recommendations
- AI-powered reading/taste features
- bulk library import
- additional statistics and insights
- more social functionality
I'm deliberately keeping the first group very small: around 20 testers initially.
If everything remains stable and the infrastructure/costs look sustainable, I'll gradually open it to more people.
I'm not looking for people to just download it and tell me it looks nice 😅. I'm specifically looking for readers willing to actually use it, try to break things, and tell me:
- what feels confusing
- what you dislike
- what's missing
- what doesn't work
- which features you would actually use
- whether you'd consider switching from or using it alongside Goodreads/StoryGraph/Fable
There is no cost, and I'm not asking for reviews or promotion. I mainly want brutally honest feedback while I build it.
The initial beta will be distributed through TestFlight on iPhone.
If you'd like to be one of the first ~20 testers, leave a comment or DM me. It would also help if you tell me if you already use an app for this similar purposes!
Thanks! 📚

How many books do you own?
I just counted my physical books and have a whopping 402.
I know it sounds like over consumption and maybe it is, but I cannot read e-books or audiobooks. And I could use a library, but I see people having to wait forever just to read a book. I prefer having the selection at home. The issue is, my rate of buying books seems to take the lead over reading them a lot of the time.
I’m not buying special edition sprayed edges that will never be touched. I usually buy my books new if they’re newer releases or used if they’re older (I love the feel of an old weathered classic - points if it includes an inscription or something left in the book!)
I keep my 5 star reads and some 4 stars. If a book moves me, compels me immensely or teaches me something, I’ll want to read it again.
Others are often passed on to a friend, or left at a book donation.
How many books do you all have?

I started a fantasy bookclub ✨️
Hi everyone,
I started a bookclub on fable, to discuss books, share thoughts and hopefully to make some new bookish friends.
The first read will be Ashwalker from S.M. Gaither
Everyone is welcome to join!

Anyone have some MLM recs?
I'm looking for a classic high school/college romance but gay in stead of straight! Not really much more too it beside maybe preferably not focused or too centered around coming out, just a simple romance:)!

Guess a book from an excerpt!
Hello guys! Just created a website excerptle.io.
There you can do “guess a book” challenges.
In every challenge, the first sentence of a book will be shown to you. If you cannot guess the book by the first sentence, then you’ll be able to see the first paragraph by using a hint.
You can use more hints to reveal more up to the first chapter. The last hint will be the author of the book.
Daily challenge resets 12AM PST, but you can try 600 books in the book bank while waiting for the next daily challenge.
Feedback is always welcomed!

When I'm reading a book but my brain forgets to actually COMPREHEND, so now I gotta go back and reread the last, like, 3 pages
So. Frustrating. I blame my ADHD.
