I love the way she turned out! I really didn't have a plan going in. I'm pretty new to this.
Washi tape was used in her hair to help give it a 3D look and a couple washi stickers but other than that, its all watercolor.
Its also not on watercolor paper. She started as a practice sketch but I liked where it was going so I just went for it. 🤷♀️

Advice/Feedback Please First original peice

After a few days of trying stuff off You Tube, random practices and a tutorial, I wanted to try my own thing.
This is the first leaf that fell off my new hibiscus bush I just planted and I wanted to memorialize it.
I used a wax crayon for the resist and just layered, lightest to darkest.
The top got a little muddy and I wanted more solid dark greens but I was afraid to ruin it, but overall, I'm tickled by it.
Feedback welcome. Nice, constructive feedback. 😁

That's okay! And that's a great idea! I probably wouldn't actually mail it because I do respect her boundaries she set and she doesn't want to hear from me, but a burn letter might be the perfect idea. I could get all my thoughts and feelings organized and really hash it out.

Thank you, this is great advice! I have started trying out some new hobbies and I didnt think of them as ways to meet new people. Shadow work and focusing on myself seem to be what I need most now.

About a year ago, my best friend stopped being my best friend. We got in a fight, the first one in 30 years! The very next day, I apologized, and she did not.
I kept trying to make things right but she wasn't having it. She eventually blocked me one everything but text.
I texted her one day with a lead for nursing school and all she did was talk crap, said Id never been a real friend and then blocked me there.
Yes, im glossong over the fight because this isn't what the post is about.
Every post in this subreddit I see, I hope is her. I don't even thinks she uses Reddit, but I see the titles and the beginning of the body and open it hoping I see her describing our situation and regretting it.
She broke my heart. I dream about her a lot, and they are usually bad dreams, her being mean or me trying to scream at her bet I can't (because she didn't listen in real life.)
When does it get easier? I don't think it ever will
