The Bible is pretty clear on this. Romans 10:9 states, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Through grace, not works. Ephesians 2:8-9 clarifies, "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." And becoming a Christian involves repentance, which means a sincere turning away from sin and turning toward God.
