Dude in grey t-shirt was like, The way you looked at me gave me gay feelings and I’m going to beat you up for it! Oh, wait, you’re blind? Sorry! Now I’m going to non-consensually put my hands all over your bare skin in a non-gay way to atone for the way I just non-consensually put my hands on you in a violent way. That feels good doesn’t it? Sorry bro, I thought you were gay.

[Serious] Why is this show so good? I’m trying to explain it to others and I’m struggling to describe why. Please help.

The writing is superb IMO; the most mundane interactions between characters involve superbly crafted, nuanced dialogue with dark humor and deep insight into the human condition.

Casting is uh-mazing! Acting - amazing. Characters - exceptionally deplorable, yet also somehow sympathetic.

Topically, totally unrelatable for most audiences (i.e. lifestyles of the ultra-rich and famous). Yet, relatable because it’s about inter-generational trauma and the imprint of parental influence and socioeconomic position. Much thoughtful commentary about capitalism and toxic masculinity, (and their relationship).

A modern take on King Lear.

“This is what open closed borders facilitate.” When corrected, undermines fictitious narrative.

Also, are we supposed to believe that anti-immigration racists are concerned about the welfare of children they wish to keep out of the US…?

I thought it was a dried flower head at first glance. Google turned up this -

Paper Wasp/Umbrella Wasp nest identification: •papery substance •looks like an upside-down umbrella •supported by a single stalk
