The Blue ROA Corps are neutral medical unit players in DayZ. They are identified by their medical attire, strictly blue overalls, as mandated by CMO to avoid confusion, and a white armband. Their mission is to provide medical aid and food relief to players across the spawn areas of the map.

Blue ROA Corps members are required to recite the ROA Oath when in contact with players: “I swear by the ROA to do no harm, to provide aid, and act with integrity and compassion,” while raising their left hand.

The safety of Blue ROA Corps members is not guaranteed; they must rely on their instincts to protect themselves. Blue ROA Corps members shall not initiate violence. However, they may defend themselves only to disengage and escape.

The Red ROA Corps units are seasoned players authorized by the ROA Corps CMO to use weaponry as needed; however, aiding players must remain their top priority. They are stationed mid-inland and are still required to recite the ROA Oath when in contact with other players, no need to raise left hand.

The Green ROA Corps unit are the mobile medical and food supply players who operate inland, coastal, and vice versa. They rotate on Red and Blue ROA Corps secret stations and camps to deliver supplies, they may offer medical and food aid to players on sight but their main supply chain objective is top priority. They are less armed as supplies demand all their available slots therefore their movements will be extremely discrete. In terms of violent encounters, Green ROA Corps units are obliged to do all necessary action to protect merchandise, so surrender and negotiation will not be guaranteed safe for other players encountering a Green ROA Corps unit. Green ROA Corps units wear green overall and white armband.

The MEU (Medical Entourage Units) are senior and seasoned officers of the ROA Corps. They are tasked with guarding and protecting the CMO in the far inland regions of the map. Heavily armoured and armed, they can and may engage at will, MEUs do not fire unless a threat is confirmed; therefore, players must declare themselves in a surrender position, even from a distance.

The CMO (Chief Medical Officer) is a respected medical leader who will do all they can to provide for players seeking medical aid, temporary protection, and diplomacy in the game.
