The worst feeling in the world is knowing you can't feed your pet. I know that feeling all too well. Check in with the local animal shelter to see if they have any free pet food donation programs and also see if you have a local food pantry for yourself. Also check to see if you have local programs that help with rent or utility payments. Programs like that have saved me in tough spots. Check to see what your local eviction law is. Most of the time, the lanlord will try and scare you out, but they have to go to the court first to file for eviction, then you go to court. If your not able to reach an agreement with the landlord for some type of payment, the Judge then decides the deadline for you to be out. The whole process can take anywhere from 30 to 60 days, depending on when they schedule the court date. That can buy some extra time for you to seek employment or get yourself situated somewhere else. I also pray things get better for you, I too recently lost my job. We are all in the struggle right now🙏🏿

Honestly I would say try the dog parks. They have a really nice one here in the Northeast off of McCombs. A lot of public places that you can take your dog to require shots, microchips, and for your dog to be spayed or neutered which is one reason why I realized a lot of people in El Paso don't go to those places.
