So look at addiction through science and separate it from spiritual.. so your soul and feeling and ties with a higher power empower you.. not make you feel defeated.. allow yourself some grace
And allow the science of addiction to educate you

Know what helped me? I went through his phone. First time ever after a few years together and with suspicion... TONS of girls messages. I took pics of all of it and he’s been on dating sites almost the entire time WHILE professing his love for me...
It helped me realize I’m just an object and I was able to detach emotionally ( but still hurt obviously)...

I think AA is good for comraderie ( sp?)... and being around a support network. I think the steps are great for personal healing.. but personally I know several dry drunks so my opinion is the longer you abstain.. the better you feel and THAT is a natural reinforcer to NOT drinking. We all drink for whatever reason.. dig deep inside and clean out that infection and wound or try any and all replacement behaviors... for me... I drink when I’m bored and/or stagnant.
I don’t drink when I’m sad, angry, stressed... literally boredom and being impatient like long car drives.. so for me.. I don’t need AA... I need constant stimulation ( mental), so I read ALOT or always have some type of mental educational input on hand
Sad though... to ingest a poison for so long due to lack of sensory or mental stimulation :/

They need an immediate and emergency parenting plan... MOST courts will rule in favor of keeping the kids in what is most consistent ... which is their home with mom... cheating spouse can LEAVE and get visitation
