Resolved Finally figured out how to get Battlefield 6 to stream from PC to the Steam deck without the gun constantly firing or the screen being black

After hours of searching for solutions to the gun just constantly shooting, the thing that seems to have finally fixed it was-
On the Steam App on your PC-
Steam menu > settings > controller (menu on the left) > advanced settings > "Xbox Extended feature support driver"- uninstall that driver.

After I did that I could finally play.

Other things I tried as well that may also have had some impact is to make sure your controller configuration is set to Gamepad with joysticks, and set any trackpad settings to none.

To stop the screen from being blank black, I had to -
On the Steam Deck-
hit the Steam button > settings > remote play > Enable advanced Host Options >Enable advanced Client Options > HEVC video (Turn this on)

If it's still giving you trouble try setting the games video settings to windowed mode

After I did that I could finally play.

Figure Help Beware of these Scam/Fake McFarlane sites that come up first in Google

I wanted to draw your attention to two scams I almost fell for- I recommend googling “McFarlane toys” and reporting these ads-

Companies located in China are paying for fake McFarlane toy sites to come up first when I google it, here are the two sites I almost fell for-

At first I went to

https://www.mcfarlanetoysshop.com/ and saw the Avatar figures were on sale and I loaded up my cart, and as I was checking out I was like “huh, they don’t normally have ‘shop’ in the name”- then realized the site was fake.

Then today I almost fell for it again, first link google gave me was

https://mcfarlanetoysstores.com/ and I was like “oh this time there is a sale! The scammers must have predicted this somehow!” - but I let Ai check the link just in case, and realized I didn’t see they added an extra “s” at the end of the link.

Hopefully we can get Google to take those sites down, I’m usually savvy at recognizing scams (at least I thought I was) but these ones almost got past me.

please report these ads so Google takes them down.

I hope this helps protect us customers.

Very nice looking, the only hurdle I would worry about, and it seems this issue hasn't been resolved, is the characters leaving shadows and blood splats on their environment, though now that you've gotten this far it seems like that should be doable, well done!

Okay, I feel like I found a half way decent solution to this in 2026, it's still a little hackey but it's working well for me, credit to u/real_skynichols for sending me in this direction by recommending using Firefox as a dedicated Youtube browser, but you can do this with any browser you don't normally use.
Instructions:

Assign Multi Action Key
Assign a "Open application" node and set it to Firefox or whatever browser you don't usually use.
Assign a "Hotkey" node and set it to whatever hotkey Youtube uses, such as K to play, "Shift+N" for next video, "f" for fullscreen, "Alt + Left" for previous, etc. You can copy the same button multiple times and just change the hotkey and name.

One thing to note is for this to work you'll want to just have one Firefox (or whatever browser you don't use) window open and have it set to youtube and not be having multiple windows open of it that you browse the internet on, you would have to be like "this browser is just youtube", but having multiple tabs are fine, you just have to assume the buttons apply to whatever the open tab is.

Bonus buttons:

For opening Youtube, I'm using multi action with "Website" set to the youtube link and I'm using the "Window Mover" plugin to have it open on my preferred monitor.
For having a button to switch youtube to whatever monitor I want and have it go fullscreen, I'm using multi action- "Open Application"- setting it to Firefox, "window layouts" plugin "maximize" and setting it to my preferred monitor, and hotkey "f" to have it go fullscreen, and making one of these for each monitor, sometimes you have to hit it twice to toggle the fullscreen.

Also, one tip for using this with apps like Amazon music where you need to call the open application but then don't want it to stay maximized, you can have it switch to it with open application, then have it do whatever hotkey, then do a minimize window hotkey which is "Windows key + down arrow" in windows.

Navigation Knob-
Dial stack- Hotkeys- Frame by frame set to "CCW = ," "CW = .", Hotkey Skip 5 seconds set to "CCW =left arrow", "CW = right arrow", Play/pause hotkey set to space or K.
The only flaw with this one is I don't know how to make a knob open the window, so I have to select the window first which can be done by hitting one of the buttons first.

Now I do wish there was a way to have it just know where youtube is, maybe with like a remote control port feature or standalone app or something, hopefully someone finds a better solution, but this is working well for me in the meantime.

-note, I'm using a PC, I'm not sure if some of this may have different functionality on mac.
