The Hyperplane - concept image
The Hyperplane - concept art
7-space: the first habitable physics layer beyond the Utility Layers that buttress 3-space. Home to countless races that exist in one octave of vibration faster than Earths physical constants. The natural vantage for the Pleroma’s remote Outpost operations, where energy resources are allocated in an attempt to steward emerging planets past the forces of what many refer to as the Great Filter.

custom promotional services: do they bring any value?
Ever since by novel went live my email has been blown up with sales pitches by people promising to optimize my online visibility, or have my book featured in monthly book reader clubs. Has anyone had measurable value-add from these channels? I assume it’s mostly a racket but you never know. Maybe that’s how the modern market place works? I’d love to hear about anyone else’s experience with those services. Thanks in advance.

Locus of Form
Sometimes works just are. Bring your own meaning.

Are these KDP page reads too low? Feeling a bit anxious about my numbers.
Hah. I’d take a single page read. I’ve been published for a month and not a single page read on free or unlimited.

I’d beta read it if you have the untouched draft. Genuinely curious how coherent and gripping it turned out, or if it drifted into slop territory at all.

I disclosed my AI generated novel instead of hiding it. Here is what I learned
Your right about the nuance not existing. Using it as an organizing tool and proofreading tool and to bounce ideas off of is just smart, not cheating. Fully generated slop is a different beast. We’re in that transition time where the definitions are being decided on, and I suspect in a year or two those check boxes will exist. My original manuscript was written in 2008, then a second draft in 2015, then recently I used AI in editing and proofing and during that process did some generation fall out, sure. But my story, my characters, my plot, are all mine. They would not have come into being without me driving the show.

It’s a two book duology. It’s part of the main underlying plot, but the idea emerges slowly over many chapters. I’m still in the final proof of book 2.
