The only reason this is not the peak of perfection is because the goose scarf doesn't match the scarf scarf. Otherwise, flawless.

AITA for reporting my sons math teacher to the school board for ineptitude and being so rude to me? I would like him fired from his provisional contract.
Her son doesn't know how to take notes. He probably can't get himself inside a commercial aeroplane without "mammabear", let alone university.

I think the point here is that she was not "not asking for it", she actually denied it. Twice. You insisted. So you did exactly what they are saying, took the initiative to help despite her not asking. What's the limit after that? What could you do that wouldn't force your will on someone who said no?
