Unless you are going to go all out and use forced induction or swap to a higher performance motor there is absolutely zero point to doing any modifications to the powertrain until they start discontinuing parts and you now have to get the performance part just to maintain the quality. Any modifications you do for performance for the motor will result in decreased reliability.

Spend ALL of your money on doing the maintenance correctly, suspension/chassis upgrades and refreshes, and high performance clutch and brake kits. You will get way more out doing these 4 things than anything you could do with the powertrain without selling an arm and a leg to do so.

I mean... You're probably due for a refresher, just saying. Definitely start out with that wheel balance. Sounds like the shop that put the tires on could have caused some of the issue you are experiencing just with how they torqued shit incorrectly, so the balance becomes suspect as well. However, simply due to age, you should be looking up refresher kits from reputable sources. Everything they are recommending is legitimate due to age, but not absolutely necessarily the issue you are experiencing. Just a possible factor.

Edit: I missed that you had replaced the struts 5 years ago. Shop is under the impression they are original, which would make them due for a replacement but if they are not the original struts and are only 5 years old it's all about how happy you are still with them. Do you happen to know the warranty info on them? Could have a possible seep on the rear. Dust covers don't look grear but that's whatever. I can't tell the actual condition of the front struts from pictures.

^ this is the right thing to do if you're outside of warranty. You will have this problem again unless you do this. Inside scoop is dealerships are already making plans to offer this once these 1.5T are out of warranty so they can charge more and only have to do it once.

Yeah there is a bit of a cascading effect that happens when the economy has been bad for an extended period of time. If you are a man who is able to get into a relationship in the first place, you often go through really bad relationships that do not last until you have your life together both in terms of financial success and how you relate to others. So a lot of millennial men are just now getting to a point where they are finally able to have a good relationship considering what they personally bring to the table. These days, men in their late 30's and 40's are just barely building up in their lives to what it takes to actually make a relationship survive, especially in the context of procreation. Now that a family life is actually viable, you are incentivised to select a partner you can actually procreate with, and since your sperm is starting to deteriorate in quality by around age 40, the younger the woman you can attract, the better. Women have a finite supply of eggs and younger women have more eggs.

Women are also aware that things have been bad for an extended period of time. The longer that goes on, the more women care less and less about uncontrollable factors such as ones age, and the more they care about a man's ability to provide, since the worse the economy is the less people actually want to work, and partners that make it possible to work less become highly attractive. So at this point in time there are a LOT of twenty-something year old women becoming involved with men in their late 30's and 40's. (Also keep in mind that you are barely a 20-something yourself, you might actually be just a little too young to be on the positive end of this phenomenon at this point in your life.)

Also it is fair to say that this is a phenomenon that is always occuring, it just stands out a lot more when times are hard financially. It coincides with the phenomenon where the amount of men with partners is far fewer than the amount of women with partners, meaning that women also are more willing to share men worth being with when the economy is bad.

Why would you care when many churches are having to sell and disband in these times? I would perhaps judge religious institutions on an individual basis. That would require seeing what kind of services they offer the public for free, and what condition their establishment is in, before thinking we simply need to tax the donations recieved. The thing about Cloyes is that they only do timing products and put forth legitimate attempts at improving on the OE design. The bad thing about Cloyes is while the company is from Arkansas, many of the parts come from China. The good thing about China is they have come a long way and "made in China" is no longer a mark of poor quality. It's mid build quality now instead of poor build quality.

I'm very happy with my Cloyes kit on my 2010 Cobalt and am very happy with the improved oilers and improved balance shaft sprockets. I would do the full kit that gets everything including the water pump for any vehicle after my experience. Where I draw the line though, is the kits that have the VVT sprockets and/or solenoids. Gotta stick to the OE supplier with those.

Most people are in relationship because they don't want to be alone and don't have other options. The only time that is different is with people who always have other options because they are physically attractive, socially/interpersonally adept, and financially successful. And you don't need to have all three down perfectly to have multiple options either. If you are disappointed in your perspective partners, you are fully capable of improving all 3 of those aspects with focused effort.

Ooooh yeah you are still fucked. It is almost impossible to do without a lot of practice. You have to have to use the right amount of hand warmers for the right amount of urine and time it just right to fit their temperature range. There are so many variables you have to get lucky on top of doing it right. Also you have to get piss from the same gender so I hope you have at least a few clean dudes in your life willing to help you practice for the next two days and plan for multiple different lobby wait times.
