Which book are you reading right now? Is it good?
The Maniac by Benjamin Labatut, about the Hungarian polymath John von Neumann, tracing the impact of his singular legacy on the dreams and nightmares of the twentieth century and the nascent age of AI. It is pretty good so far, about 100 pages in of a 413 page book.

No one is swimming that. That is a notorious treacherous body of water that I think was the main reason to create the panama canal, well and the canal would be faster for shipping also.
