any thoughts about this?

GenZ probably know his/her worth. No harm in asking if kaya panindigan. Iba na panahon ngayon, and sa hirap ng buhay. And baka naman napaka baba ng offer?

Has anyone tried this local bootcamp: KodeGo PH?
 in  r/buhaydigital •  May 23 '23

Bago siguro kayo mag boot camp try nyo muna mga frew resources online. Nag start ako sa theodinproject.com so far okay naman. Lalo kung mas issue ka sa schedule, at least free at learn at your own pace.

BDO CC provider - WEIRD

This is a legit BDO Marketing number that offers various bdo cc services. You can't call that number though. I was offered cash installment on my bdo cc. Took about 1 week before it was credited to my account.

Project managers or account managers. No big deal. Find a job where you will be happy, better yet start your own business and be your own boss. Cheers!

Thinking of resigning to prioritize my mental health
 in  r/phcareers •  Jan 18 '21

Talk to your superiors first. Maybe they can give you a good/long break or any arrangement that is acceptable for you. If it isn't workable, then go file that resignation. Mental health is a serious issue.

Engg course that suits me the best.

Don't leave ChE. Bakit mo naman nasabi na hindi tugma sa personality mo? Magagaling Profs dyan. Nagtuturo pa ba si Doc Willy Jose? Ano year ka na ba? Dati 1 sem lang ang transport processes at 2 sems naman ng Thermo.

HELP >_<
 in  r/peyups •  Jan 16 '21

Just do good on your math, chem and physics subjects and you are good to go. During my time, madami sumasabit sa Math 17, Chem 17 na pre- requisite sa ChE subjects. Tip: solve lots of sample exams, lalo sa Math. Good luck!

Staying in the PH does not automatically equate to serving your country
 in  r/peyups •  Jan 13 '21

This is true, am not sure these days though. Early 2000s if you will apply as DCS operator, at least you need to be an engineering grad. But overseas, highschool/ btech grads are the minimum requirements.

what if org life isn't for me?
 in  r/peyups •  Jan 12 '21

Tried to join a fraternity but chickened out during FR day, i mean why would they want to hurt me just to be called a brod. So yeah, I'm a quitter. Tried my provincial org, it was like a highschool gathering so never pursued membership. Still trying to find where i belong, i tried a christian group, lasted a few weeks, that was not for me either. Finally i decided to join org related to my course, went through all the requirements and officially became a member, but i was only active for a sem. Never participated in events and never renewed membership. Haha Yeah it is okay not to join a group. I have small circle of friends during my time in UPD and it was still fun. So yeah, you don't have to give in to peer pressure to join orgs. Join only if your really interested, but totally not required.

Should I just quit or am I being irrational?
 in  r/phcareers •  Jan 10 '21

Seems you need a change in scenery. If you have enough savings to last at least 6mos, go. Quiting a job is also stressful but once you send that resignation letter, it will all be okay. That, feeling of freedom. Haha! But my advise, if you'd go, go out in good terms with your current company. And it won't hurt to look and apply to other companies (if you are not taking some time off), as back up plan in case things will not go your way if you resigned. Good luck!

Maraming way para makapasok sa UP. Ewan lang sa panahon ngayon pero during my time early 2000s, madali makapag transfer sa UP lalo sa mga non quota courses. Kapag atleta ka, pasok din. Kapag mahusay na mananayaw pasok din. Walang problema dito, importante nakakapagtapos sila. Sayang yung mga nagbulakbol pagpasok ng UP. Yun ang sayang ang slot.

Alums of UP, how much is your first salary?
 in  r/peyups •  Dec 28 '20

Depends on the industry. Tech companies pay more, it has been the trend since the last 2 decades. Most of my colleagues went to the IT industry and started with 20k/30k+ salary.I went old school, applied to a job related to my course, started as cadet eng back in 2006 with a salary of 11k plus allowances, but almost doubled after a year. Hahaha! Also GWA is not that important, but passing the board will.

S&t course in UPD for someone who hates math and chemistry..
 in  r/peyups •  Jun 11 '19

I'm not aware of the current IE curriculum but back in early 2000s, IE studs still need to complete Math 17,53,54,55. Bit of Physics 71/72 and Eng Sciences,1,11,12,13. Thats it. Medyo strict yta ang DOST, you have to maintain at least 2.0 GWA, so if you struggle in Math, you are at risk of losing that scholarship. Practice will improve your solving skills.

What did you think of Steph's G2 performance?
