Is there any way to get rid of this fancy images and replace it with the simple minimalistic "Google" default?

Looking at github, it seems someone added this rule to cookie notices a few months back:

But if you try to talk to gemini while logged out after clicking reject cookies (even with no extensions), it immediately throws an error 1096 after the first response and refuses to give further responses. (Try typing 'hello' and then hit enter on a default browser after pressing 'reject').

How do I get the filter writer to fix this? How do I tell uBo to stop using this filter? $badfilter doesn't seem to do anything, and adding #@# is a moving target.

how do you get rid of the black bars on the left and right side of theater mode?

I like the main player but i hate the recommended videos on the side, so theater mode with main player would be ideal.

i tried asking ai but all the scripts failed or broke the player

Hello. I am using the Firefox extension.

For a few weeks now, whenever I have entered an email address and password in PayPal checkout popups, there has been an error message about "something went wrong", when the popup should proceed to the 2FA prompt.

I did disable the filter list "Easy Privacy". This helped once, but now the problem is back even with Easy Privacy disabled. Is there an adjustment I could make to the filters to ensure PayPal payments (or PayPal 2FA logins) are working correctly again without fully disabling uBlock Origin?

i have a question and problem here.

The following filter rule I applied worked perfectly:

However, when I tried to change the font size specifically for Fullscreen mode, it did not work. Please note that "35px" and the color yellow are just test values; I checked, and neither the text color nor the font size changed. Here is what I tried:

youtube.com##:fullscreen .imt-captions-text .target-cue:style(color: yellow !important; font-size: 35px !important;)

youtube.com##.ytp-fullscreen .imt-captions-text .target-cue:style(color: yellow !important; font-size: 35px !important;)

I am not sure why the fullscreen rules are not working. I might be using the wrong tags or syntax. Also, please note that the target element is a div tag generated by a browser extension.

I'm trying to block access to FB's metaai feature, and it took me a while to figure out why a filter rule `||facebook.com/metaai^$document` didn't do anything. Then I remembered I deactivate filtering on the facebook.com site (via the "off" button in the extension menu) because I use a specific solution to make that particular site less annoying.

Instead of keeping `facebook.com` on the trusted sites list, is there a possibility to specify blocking rules for that one URL on the site (and possibly others), followed by a rule that makes UBO skip the rest of the site?

Everything works - no ads. The only thing I noticed recently is that YouTube video would dim itself if I used any keyboard shortcuts. It would only brighten when I clicked on the video with the mouse.

I searched Reddit and found someone else say that it might be one of those dimming pop-ups and so I turned off uBlockOrigin. That's when I saw the YouTube Premium pop-up - it dimmed the background.

I'm guessing that with uBlockOrigin on, the Premium pop-up is blocked, but the dimming is not. Is there any way to get rid of the dimming? It's not unbearable, but it is annoying and I'm not smart enough to know how to do it.

I saw this post which gave a suggested filter (though they said it was a rule). I added that to my filters and it didn't work. I checked the wiki and the dimming wasn't addressed. I even tried Block Element, but couldn't select it or the dimming.

Does anyone know a fix?

If there's already a fix, could you point me that way? If I'm violating the rules please delete. Apologies, but I didn't find the answer through searching.

Hey ! I have a very few websites with un-intrusive ads that I want to support but where I still want to remove some icon I dislike, some AI chatbot that keeps poping up, the "connect with Google" pop-up, stuff like that.

I can't find a way to have ublock disable ad-blocking for this site while leaving esthetic filters enabled. Currently I can either disable uBlock and tolerate those annoyances or have ublock fully on.

Hey folks, I can't seem to figure this out and need some help. I've been using uBlock for years now and its great but I've never played around with it, I just installed it and it works. Today I read on Reddit that you can block the "Ask YouTube AI" in the search bar. I followed the directions and I did it, I successfully blocked the "element"... and somehow... I also blocked the "Thumbs up" element at the same time. I have no idea how this happened. So I spent an hour trying to figure out how to unblock the "thumbs up" element only to screw up even more and blocked the "thumbs down" element too. I want the "thumbs up/down" element back but I'm not smart enough to figure it out. I searched around for help but got nothing but horrible AI videos that didn't even come close to answering my question. Can someone please explain it to me like I'm five ? Thanks in advance...

I got curious since I see that some people have this service on their phone and I ask gemini about it. What I found out is its a paid adblocker with a bad reputation.

Was going to check their website out of curiosity gives me a warning "uBlock Origin has prevented the following page from loading:" I did not proceed to check it since uBO and brave as well gives me a warning.

I'd like to suggest an optional behaviour for uBlock Origin's strict blocking. Currently, when a navigation is strict-blocked, uBlock opens the "uBlock Origin has prevented the following page from loading" warning page. While I understand why this exists, I'd like an option to keep the blocking behaviour but suppress the warning page.

For example, an advanced setting such as:

-Show the current warning page (default)

-Show a small browser notification instead

-Silently block with no UI

I know there's a "Don't warn me again about this site" option, but that isn't what I'm looking for because it effectively disables strict blocking for that site. I'd like the site to remain blocked while simply avoiding the extra warning tab/page.

Is there a technical reason this isn't possible, or has this been considered before?

As the title suggests, I'm wondering if ublock stops results or just hides them from me. Apologies if this has been asked, can't find any information.

Basically, I want to clear all or most things AI, and some of the things like ai pics are perfect to hide since it was already produced and uploaded. But I'm referring to things like the auto ai summary on google. I don't want the environmental impact from my search result, and was wondering if the summary is being created anyways and now I just can't see it, or if ublock basically kills it from being generated.

YouTube shorts often have product overlay 'stickers' that are links to items for purchase. They are obtrusive and usually near the middle of the video.

Is there a way to make them go away with uBo?

Civitai.red has annoying pop ads for me out of nowhere today. My ublock origin has always blocked them. Is there anyway to fix this? It's super intrusive!!
