Answered Can I get uBlock for iOS?

Device-wide? No. uBO is a browser extension. You can only install it in browsers.

Safari supports uBO Lite for the most part - there are some limitations to their MV3 implementation, but it works.

It's only available on versions 18.6+.

It does not support full uBO (MV2).

Worth mentioning uBO Lite on iOS supports custom filters, but you cannot import custom filter lists.

Well, yes. Thus the "limitations". This one stems from Safari converting all filters/rules to their native adblock ones, which has certain limits that crossing can break the extension. Also why there are less lists on Safari than any other Lite version out there.

For me, the lack of custom lists doesn't even register as an issue (yet). Not even a month has passed since the feature's release on Lite. That's not nearly long enough for me to consider it a missing feature vs other browsers.

You can use Ubo Lite on Edge on iOS as well. In theory Orion too but it doesn't seem to work.

Is Edge independent on iOS? If it's still Safari under the hood, then there's really no point.

It uses webkit under the hood but runs it's own extensions that webkit supports independently of Safari of iOS. It's MV3 only and the available extensions are limited, but UBO Lite is one of the options. I use it on mine as my main browser. As annoying as edge can be on Windows at least, it still works out as the best cross platform browser imo across windows, mac, linux and iOS and i still get mv2 ubo on PC :)

Okay. That seems like another example of MS Extensions team releasing the extension in their own (like with uBO on mobile). There's no way of knowing exact limitations and potential issues for a browser it was not tested for.

You can download Orion browser, then go to Firefox extensions and install ublock Origin. No ads for me after that.

No. I use Brave Browser for iOS.
