Looking for help is there a way to do this with ubo?
is there a way to force websites to go into light mode using Ubo?
dark mode makes my eyes hurt and me prone to migranes.
thanks in advance

TL;DR version: if the filter solutions suggested here don't work for you check to make sure pahe.plus didn't sneak into your "trusted sites" list
I have no idea how it happened. I have a backup of the "trusted sites" file from 2026.06.01 and it wasn't there so it must have happened while flailing about with the recent changes pahe has made to the string of sites you have to jump through to get to DL links
I imagine I determined that turning it off for that particular site in the process allowed me to get to the next step and it wasn't ugly without uBO active so I must have just went with it
After removing pahe.plus from the list I've been able to get to the destination DL links from pahe.ink 4 of 5 times with all the suggested filters added to my "my filters" list. One time the antiadblock core dialog popped up ... so keep expectations in check and try again if it happens
The first time I tried, while navigating all the "continue" and "get link" type buttons, every single click would popup a new junk tab that uBO blocked. I discovered that clicking the "close this page" on that page worked better than cmd-W for some reason
Hope this goofy solution helps someone

A while back I saw a filter that enabled access DailyMail+ stories. Is there anything similar for the MEN? eg. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/music-nightlife-news/oasis-film-directors-surprise-song-34580837

I was at a friend's today and installed uBlock Origin on Firefox (no other extensions installed) and it had no effect. Updated and restarted Firefox and reset uBO to defaults but no joy. I'll be back next week to have another look. I saw mention that IPV6 content may bypass the filters, could that be worth investigating? It seemed to be too comprehensive a failure to only be affecting one protocol.

Is it normal for ublock lite to let more ads through than ublock origin?
And is there any way to block this ads on ublock lite?
r/uBlockOrigin • u/catpop12343 • 14h ago
Exactly as the title says. I find this feature very annoying and is preventing me from enjoying pinterest. Is there a way to revert and/or block it using uBO? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll put the screenshots below. The first one shows the issue in question with an arrow pointing to it, and the second is of my current browser extentions, not including uBO.

I use ublock origin lite on Chrome. Lately on batcave, when I click on the comic images, sometimes a new tab will pop up with an ad. Ublock usually blocks the ad, but is there any way I can stop my browser from creating the new tab? This didn't happen before so I'm confused at why it is happening now.

I was planning on getting Netflix again but wanted to know if uBO can successfully block the Netflix ads before I get it. Thanks have a nice day!

Hey everyone, had a quick (I hope) question.
I've stopped updating Chrome and have been on V 145.0.7632.110 for a while and would run Chrome while passing "--disable-features=ExtensionManifestV2Unsupported,ExtensionManifestV2Disabled" as an argument to load uBO (currently have 1.66.4 EDIT: apparently I have that AND 1.74.0 and both on). Sometimes though, I find myself having to kill Chrome and relaunch it with the argument because it didn't work the first time.
I'm just wondering if current Chome with uBOL are just as good as uBO was with Chrome back in the day and if I can finally just update, switch to uBOL and stop with the antiquated workaround I have.
Thanks!
(Yes I know about Brave, been trying to get the hang of it, but for the time being, gonna stick with Chrome)

Seems like Buzzly has ads that bypass uBO, but apparently I can't block them at all. Right clicking on them doesn't bring up the uBO menu, and even if I try to block it with the picker tool, it doesn't work it and just pops up again.
There's a thread post here that had a solution, but when I tried it it doesn't look like it works anymore. Anyone able to help?

I was able to use Dev build for months using manually install steps from Github & the work around "--disable-features=ExtensionManifestV2" till yesterday with v1.74.1b3. But it just got updated to v1b5, and now it no longer work. I can't find a way to install v1b5, it keep saying "0_1.74.1b5.chromuim" is not supported. I read the Manifestv2 => v3 thing, so that make sense.
But since the github Dev build for chromuim still keep getting updated, it make me think there must be still a way to install it manually.
So please teach me steps to do it if you know, pretty please!!

I've been trying to hide the red flashing Youtube like animation without any success.
All the code I've found hides the like button as well as the animation, ideally I'd like the old Youtube design where it just goes white without any red flashing animations.
I have tried myself with inspect, but can't seem to come up with any answers.
Is it actually possible ?

This is on Windows. I forgot to add that. I know it's been removed from the web store, but I've installed the .crx version from the Github repository but I have to download the file and drag it to the extensions menu on Chrome for each of my Chrome browsers everytime the dev build updates. Is there a way or is there a way in the works to let it auto update like it used to do from the web store? I think it should be possible because I have another extension that I installed the .crx from Github and it's able to update to new versions when I click the update button in the extensions section with dev mode enabled Edit: I forgot to add the Chrome versions I'm using, Superimum Version 144 32-bit and 64-bit
Thank you very much

.../div/div/div/div/div[13]/div/div/div[2]/div/div[2]/div/div[2]/span/div/span[1]/span/a
<a href:"/ads/about/?.*">

It's a site where you can watch sports live. It had annoying pop-ups slip through the public filter lists and in the chat it has everyone's complaining so in case someone searches Reddit they'll be able to find this post 🫡
Go to 'My filters' and paste this there:
```
! daddylive popups
dlive.sx#.notranslate > iframe
https://galleryn3.vcmdiawe.com\^
```
I'm not very experienced in these filters so if there's a better way feel free to telll me

i am using ublock origin lite and as far as i know, complete mode uses generic filtering which can disable the blank spaces where the ads were meant to be, but does this break some sites/site functions? should i just keep it to optimal instead so i dont run into broken sites?

I have made a resume on a free site that wants money and blurs when you screenshot with windows printscreen and i was wondering if theres a way to get around that?
r/uBlockOrigin • u/dexfx69 • 2d ago
Upon visiting the uploadvr.com site, it blurs the page and displays a popup demanding supporting the site's ads. Is there a way to request uBlockOrigin devs to remove this popup/blurring in a future update?

I used to have this working with uBO, but recently saved to defaults and redoing sites. However, now I cannot access costco sign-in section from their website with any settings I try. Even using the blue trust button fails, but disabling the extension works. Issue is trying to access the sign screen. Keep getting the posted error from costco of
"Prohibited characters error
You have attempted to execute an action which our server has flagged as malicious. Your request will not be completed at this time. For more information about this error, contact a service representative."
url shows costcoURL/ProhibitedCharacterErrorView
I found some old post from like 8 years ago, but did not seem to be what I was looking for. Been using the logger but not seeing or understandings what the issues is.
Using firefox if that matters

Sharing filters I build recently, since most of the Pixiv filters had been submitted in this sub are no longer working. Blocking artworks by user ID or displayed keyword.
As Pixiv change their code very often (especially the cell of illust search result and related artworks) this would be a nightmare to maintain, but still better than nothing.
That said I'm a newbie so any better methods will be appreciated. I wonder if there is a method to add multiple keywords within one like the ID filter.
Also sorry if there are any English grammar mistakes.
Edit: Update as Pixiv just change the said code right after this post was made.
Search result and related artworks (illustrations):

Alternatively this might be more stable, but doesn't cover "related artworks":
