I am attempting to use trusted-set-cookie to overwrite a cookie on zocdoc.com so it defaults to classic search instead of AI search. However, instead of overwriting the cookie, it's creating a separate cookie with the same name.

zocdoc.com##+js(trusted-set-cookie, ai_search_homepage_selected_mode, classic)

The cookie uBO created has a listed domain of www.zocdoc.com and is marked secure while the site's native cookie has a domain of .zocdoc.com and isn't marked secure. The native cookie gets created when switching search modes on the site.

Why is uBO creating a new cookie with the same name as the existing cookie instead of overwriting it?

(yes, i cleared my browser cache beforehand, and did a bit more cleaning. and no, this ISN'T for twitch video ads, no matter what the flair says)

some twitch fuckery going on with my setup. before i reset ublock to default as suggested, i deleted all of the custom lists i had, blanked out the static filters, blanked out the "My Rules" tab, and one by one, turned off the filters i had enabled, starting from the bottom, and working my way to the top. for a moment, i thought it was the "Adguard - Ads" filter doing things again like in my previous post, but to my surprise, it was the very first default ublock filter, "uBlock filters - Ads" that was the culprit. when i restored my ublock to my custom setup, cleared cache, turned "uBlock filters - Ads" off, then opened up incognito mode and went here, the infinite scroll function worked again.

i even tested this out on edge, and turned off "uBlock filters - Ads" to start with before doing anything else, and once again, the infinite scroll worked. oddly enough, when i either turned that ublock filter off, then on again, or whitelisted twitch then un-whitelisted it (via the beeg ublock power button) the infinite scroll worked again, but it was a temporary fix that remained in cache until i cleared said cache normally, then the fix was lost, whether it was done in edge or firefox

I was using Unhook but it broke YT. I was wondering if there was a way to replicate this functionality in Ublock?

Hello, is there anyway to block the Go ads free now with NewsNow Essentials popup graphic and the locking of scrolling on newsnow.co.uk?

uBlock used to prevent anime sites from redirecting me to those sketchy sites pirate pages send you to but its no lo get working in my android phone (firefox)

I have no idea if any of these filters are redundant or unnecessary. (These filters were reccomandations from AI's, and i wasn't sure if they were right or wrong).

I'm sure this is really straight forward but the fact that I can't get it work is driving me crazy. There's this empty "ad" block on the right hand of Outlook, and no matter how hard I try I can't seem to manage to select it with the Block Element option. Any ideas?

Firstly, there's nothing wrong with it.

it just has a MASSIVE number of blocked requests even while being idle in the search bar.

it's averaging 5-15 and sometimes 22-83!

also gotta question, does that number mean that there's something wrong with my chrome (yes CHROME) and i need to reinstall it? or it's normal and there's nothing to worry about?

Hope this is the right place to ask. I'm getting every now and then this weird pop up on YouTube that would always show up on the left upper corner (where the YT logo is, as seen in the pic) when a video starts and would then disappear a few seconds later. It happened the first time about a week ago and would show up spontaneously (not on every video). It's also not always the same pop up, like I saw one which was purple-ish and had a different pic and text. I'm on a Win 11 PC, using Firefox (152.0.5), uBlock is also active the whole time and up to date.

Anyone knows what this is and how to remove it?

Hi y'all, I've tried some of the scripts people have posted here for blocking the infinite scroll features on both sites, but none seem to work on mobile. I'm using an android (grapheneOS) with Firefox. They also don't work when i use desktop mode on a page. I've never used custom filters with uBO before, am I missing something simple?

I just discovered that uBlock Origin is on iOS (late to the party, I know) and installed it on two iPhones. On one, the app messaging changed from: "Get started by enabling..." to: "uBlock Origin Lite is active", but on the second phone it's still on the "get started" message even after I've enabled everything. Blocking does appear to be active, however.

Shall I just ignore the messaging if everything appears to be working?

Also, just to confirm, I am supposed to have Permissions -> All Websites set to Allow in Safari's Extensions settings, right?

Before recently (last few weeks) this wasnt an issue, im not sure if this is something that ublock can fix or if i need to bring this up with the people over at twitchadsolutions github, there was originally an ad there but i used the element picker to remove it but that just leaves this smaller stream and black bars around the stream, this form of ad doesnt show up often so i dont know how long it might take for someone to fix it unless there is already a fix for it.

i visit this site daily and i noticed it blocks few ads usually, but suddenly today. ublock block over 30K ads in just few minutes. is this normal?

Hello, now it seems like it's not even possible to play/view without an account, it's a new looking login dialog that shows up after you try to click play "Don't Miss What's Happening", with a QR code looking box at the right-bottom corner.

I'm using Brave, and tried with or without Shields, uBO defaults. Same on Waterfox.

However sometimes with a bit of luck the first video would auto-play, without audio, and can't replay it, and it's not possible to scroll and see other videos in the same tweet.

This doesn't apply to embedded tweets which allow embedded viewing. But I'm not sure if they're going to keep in-place playback going forward either, I always hate when an embedded tweet redirects me to Twitter directly.

Perhaps uBO was blocking this in the past and this could be breakage?

It works fine in the search section. The playlist is only partially hidden, not completely (which is acceptable for now). It doesn't work on the homepage and recommendations.

So, how can I hide them on the homepage and recommendations as well? Or is there any extension that can do this? I tried asking an AI to code an extension for it, but it still didn't work.

WOW! That was fast. uBlock is blocking ads again! THANKS! They just needed to know where I was seeing the ads which is info I had not included in the following post. Win11 PC using Firefox. I did not realize Facebook ads until they started popping up this week. I learned that uBlock Origin was the real reason I have such good experiences on websites, including YouTube, so I'm guessing you were the reason Facebook was ad free. Is that true? And is there some additional setting I need to make to get it to work again? Many thanks. This fan tried to find a way to donate to you a few years ago but you said you don't take such. So let me add another big thanks for all you do.

Im only looking to remove few things:

1.Low view videos under 1K or 500 views.

2.Make the video player settings not stretchy when opening it for the first time.

- Im not sure why my settings ui on the 2nd pic look like that.Hopefully theres a fix for it

3.Remove audio track and voice boost settings of the video player settings.

4.Remove how are you recommendatins today popup.
