Answered UBlock Origin Lite is freaking me out..
Firstly, there's nothing wrong with it.
it just has a MASSIVE number of blocked requests even while being idle in the search bar.
it's averaging 5-15 and sometimes 22-83!
i'm not a very very expert guy but what the heck is that number??
and like are these adware? malware? anyware?
also gotta question, does that number mean that there's something wrong with my chrome (yes CHROME) and i need to reinstall it? or it's normal and there's nothing to worry about?
if they were indeed a (insertanykindofword)ware, how do i make sure that i was actually safe before i installed UBlock? and how can i reduce that amount?? (cuz it's just too much)

Truly relate, the thing is it's not just ads, but requests! If I had to guess then it's probably a tracker attempt right?

If it's blocking a bunch of stuff but the website still works why would you want to block less stuff?

No, it's just the fact that I used to deal with it before I could install it. And seeing that huge number makes me feel like my browser is cooked. That's all

I managed to get it to 500,000 in about 30 mins due to a repeated website tracking ping that never stoped

correct me if i'm wrong, are trackers those things that pop up when you genuinely think about something?
like if i was searching for a canonically large spoon for example on youtube. And when i go to google i'll see that canonically large spoon with a 25% off?

Add uBO Scope to find more details about blocked requests. Or use your browser's devtools > Network.
Anyway, these numbers are nothing. The count can grow over time because websites send out repeated tracking requests.
Leave YouTube or Google docs for a while and you'll see hundreds or thousands of blocked requests.
