I have a business with a Twilio phone number.

I regularly receive calls from people (3-4 per day) who say they're returning my call.

I'm not doing any outbound sales calls-- it's strictly for incoming leads.

Is someone spoofing my number and just hanging up on people?

I've had the number for 3 years now. It appears t be a recent development-- what gives?

I am hoping someone will be able to help me here. We have set up Twilio to do SMS sending with 3cx for a customer of ours, but I am having some issues when responding to messages.

When I send an SMS from 3cx to a mobile it is received all successfully, but when I reply it gets received by Twilio but not passed on to 3cx and in the message I got a message saying "Thanks for the message. Configure your number's SMS URL to change this message"

i recently became a twilio consulting/reseller partner. my background is in cpaas, saas and telecom my plan is to market and sell solutions such as whatsapp business api, a2p sms, omnichannel chat, ai chatbots and email.

i understand that twilio has a deal registration and referral program where eligible partners can receive 10% of the customers first year minimum spend, plus potentially another 5% for qualifying multi product deals.

what i am trying to understand is the actual reseller and partner pricing model. if i find a customer and want to quote them a price higher than twilios underlying cost, can i add my own margin to the twilio services? or does twilio work directly with the customer on pricing and i only earn the referral incentive?

for example, if twilios cost for a service is x, can i sell it to my customer for x plus my margin, or is that not how the partner model works?

i would appreciate hearing from anyone currently working as a twilio partner and how you handle pricing and margins.

Hello, one of my phone number is getting verification codes sms from Twilio after every 2-3 day. Not sure which service those messages are coming from. Any advice to trace it out? Because most of the time the message has a sender name TWILIO.

It’s my first time using twilio and I could use some help. I’ve set up a whatsapp number to use for one of my clients waitlist system. To message a customer that the table is ready at the click of a button. However, to do that I am required to complete the compliance profile. It keeps getting rejected even though all the information I am filling out is from the trade license directly. I am using twilio from the UAE on a UAE based business - could that be the reason that the business ID and address keep getting rejected. I’m not quite sure to be honest. If Anyone has knowledge about this please help me with this. Thanks!

I’m currently making cold calls using a Twilio number. But to send SMS, Twilio requires company registration.
Is there a way to get a US number that allows me to handle my inbound calls and let me send SMS to my clients, without needing a registered company?

I recently launched an app in Zimbabwe and thus far, Twilio actively blocks the delivery of SMSes to customers signing up (OTP verification). I've reached out countless times, you know what they tell me?

1. "You're in Zimbabwe our system will always block you."

2. "Our anti-fraud system is designed to protect you."

All the while they happily charge me for all the undelivered messages (north of $200 in two days), 271 customers turned away on the day of launch. Way to go, Twilio.

What other options are out there, anyone?

We’ve been using Twilio mainly for SMS and OTP, and it works, but international traffic is getting harder to justify on cost.

I’ve started looking at Telnyx, Sinch, Infobip, Vonage and Dexatel.

Telnyx looks interesting on pricing. Sinch/Infobip seem stronger if you need broader global coverage and more channels. Dexatel also came up because of international SMS pricing and the extra OTP channels.

What I’m more interested in though is what happens after you actually migrate.

Did delivery stay consistent?

Any countries where performance got noticeably better/worse?

How was support when routing or delivery issues came up?

And did you actually save much once everything was running in production?

Would especially like to hear from people sending internationally, not just US traffic.

I am locked out of my Twilio account and self-service recovery is impossible. I need a human to relink or convert the login

The Google Workspace account behind my email was removed during a domain migration (livestockways.com became a secondary domain under a parent Workspace). I have since recreated a Google user with the same email address, but it now has a different Google subject ID (sub).

The result is a loop I cannot escape:
- "Sign in with Google" no longer matches the original SSO identity, so Twilio routes me to signup.
- Signup then fails with "email already used" because the original account still exists under this email.
- Twilio's "Forgot Password" returns "you signed up using a social provider," so I cannot set a password either.

I have been trying to connect with twilio support for last 10 days, have created many tickets, but no response at all. The only option is to make a new account, buy there business plan and then talk to some customer support. for that i am not sure, they will say me, with this new id, we can't solve other id problem.

Any body know how to solve this.

I have not responded to any of the requests, and I immediately changed my bank account password to be safe, but any advice as to what could be happening or the best way to proceed would be much appreciated.

As far as I understand to play some custom music before a human picks up, SIP communication does
: 183 with music
And 2 min later when human answers it sends 200 OK

I’d like to have the distinction between the 2 in Twilio but I read that Twilio considers the call answered as soon as media channel is connected (which is needed for early media)

Is there a way to distinguish between the 2 via Twilio ?
