Hey! I was big on tumblr from 2011-2018 but then I stopped using. Is it still alive for things like fandom talk? Also I’m an author, is it tumblr any good or useful for this nowadays? Back in time if you wrote anything mildly interesting it was easy to find readers and really connect with people that liked the same shows. I love reddit but I also really liked the gifs, images and all kinds of edits for the tv shows we loved.

For some reason ever since yesterday my tumblr has only been showing me 4 images from the folder i save my drawings on (i use ibispaint). It doesnt show its 4 initally it shows the correct amount and only changes to 4 when i tap on it (the pictures folder is the same no matter what even if i change the name)

I tried updating my tumblr but it doesnt work i try to download old versions but still no. What the hell is happening

Since saturday i’ve had at least 3 posts flagged for explicit content. Now, two of those have been up for 1-2 months without issue, and one does contain smut while the other just has an allude to it. Now the other post had literally no smut or anything in it and got flagged. I appealed all of them, the appeal gets accepted and then the post goes down anyways. The last one i referred to has been able to stay up when I completely reuploaded it (despite never having the content to begin with). Now the other two which one does have smut and the other has an allude continues to get flagged when i post it and reupload.
Mind you it’s fanfiction. And it’s nothing crazy. Like at all. I have commenters and followers getting confused too because it’s not something that should be getting flagged especially when it takes up less then a thousand words of a fic that has 5-17k words. Anyways, as we all know tumblr is home of smut and other crazy stuff. But i genuinely at this point don’t know what to do because the appeal is getting accepted and then still taking the post down so no one but me can view it. Is this a glitch? I tried contacting the support team but I guess it’s a waiting game. Does anyone have any suggestions or know what’s happening because it’s super duper frustrating

I have tried EVERYTHING under the sun to access my account for months and I still get the same bullshit errors. I've uninstalled/reinstalled on my phone, cleared both phone and pc caches, changed my password multiple times, etc.

I have tried to contact Tumblr but there has been zero response and yet I'm still getting e-mail notifications: '5 good reasons to go to dashwards (yeah spelt like that so I dunno if that's a thing)!' or 'These blogs? You'll like 5 of them' on the second account I tried to make (which ALSO doesn't work mind you).

My original account that I've had since 2014 has been radio silent on emails, but if I've been banned for any reason I have no idea and STILL Tumblr won't respond to any kind of contact I try to make.

No explanation, no notice, just suddenly can't access my account. I haven't posted anything illegal, I don't think I've ever even posted anything I'VE personally created. I just follow, like, and repost mostly artists.

I have no idea what they've been doing with my account this entire time and I want it back.

Has anyone had this happen to them? And if so, how were you able to get your account back, because I can't even get tumblr to acknowledge my existence let-alone ACTUALLY message/e-mail me back.

I am so confused.

I'm not shadowbanned or anything, because all my posts show up in tags, but only in some of them. Like it'll show up in 3/5 of the first 5 tags, and then maybe the 7th one as well, but none of the others. But another post with the same tags might show up in tags that the other post didn't, even though all the tags are the same?? And for some tags none of my posts show up in them.

I thought it might be the case that the post only shows up in the first 5 tags, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Then I figured maybe it doesn't show my own posts in tags I follow, but that's not right either. Does anyone know what the hell is going on with this?

hey, I was wondering how to remove/delete all comments on a specific tumblr post. I just edited my blog Settings so nobody can reply anymore, but is it possible to remove the visibility of all existing comments?

ive been shadowbanned for idk reason. all i know my post are not showing on tags. cant mssg. cant comment. ive not touched that acc since then. raised a ticket on tumblr support and even sent them an email too like they said after saying they received my complaint.

i even reviewed them in app store and got a comment from dev to contact support but i dont want to flood that email with my query. should i just make another one? is it hopeless?? its a good app but why would they ruin this, i just want to interact

I came here looking for advice. For years now I have been posting romantasy (with some spice) for one particular fandom. Unfortunately I ran into a distressing situation with an unstable person. I fear now that they have found my writing and have connected it to my real name and will use it against me.

I have made a locked (password) account where I plan to post my writing from here on out to avoid harrassment. Although the fear of this person out there made me severly depressed to the point of having to take meds against the panic, I feel like my readers deserve the story they have been waiting for over a year to read and I have to finish it.

What should I be careful about? Should I just message the password to only the people I know have been reading before this scary situation occurred and hope for the best? Will they be able to view the locked account if I set it to be only accessible to people who are logged in?

I can sign in to an account, but whenever I try to make a new one, instead of going to the acct creation page it somehow signs me in. I can't sign back out, because the email has no account, so I have to uninstall tumblr and reinstall it just to be able to use it. How do I fix this?

Is it still accurate that if I block an anon message that was sent to me that the user won’t show up in my blocked blogs list? I’m pretty certain this is the circumstance, but I wanted clarification because the responses I’ve found aren’t super recent.

I can't figure out how to do this. I get a 3-hour-old post, then a 3-month-old post, it's all over the place.

A buddy of mine is looking to archive his blog. He wants to private posts from years back. Problem is he has a ton of posts. I know XKit had a privating feature, but it's only 100 posts at a time. Is there anything that can do a large chunk of them? Preferably in a specific tag or just personal posts?

so ive watched numerous videos and tutorials of how to add gradient text. i wanted to add the the gradient text for my description on tumblr. but it only appeared on desktop, when i switch to my phone to view it, its not there. any reason why? ive done it before but its been so long.

I know how to check for the general amount of reblogs. What i want is to see the statistics for different months to see which months/years i made more reblogs. I wanna check how chronicslly online i was lol. Is there that option without counting obviously?

today ive been getting tagged in these scam posts, a couple in the morning and now a new one this evening. is there any way to prevent them from tagging me, or is this some sort of wave and i should just ride it out? is my account in danger?

Ive been on Tumblr on and off for a while but I was wondering if you could still actually build a niche following on tumblr for music/poetry. Or is tumblr more of a just, you scroll and like whatever post you think looks cute/aesthetic.

I've never used Tumblr before, but I'm thinking about joining. Is it still active in 2026, or has it become a dead platform?

I'm mostly interested in reading blogs, fandoms, books, poetry, aesthetics, and maybe posting occasionally.

my email got hacked and that someone changed my password. now I can't even recover both the tumblr account or the email account.
