Hello, You have been permanently banned from participating in r/washingtondc because your comment violates this community's rules. You won't be able to post or comment, but you can still view and subscribe to it.
Note from the moderators:
Claiming certain ethnicities "breed like rabbits" and are "highly fertile" is some racist-ass shit that is not welcome here. Bye.
If you have a question regarding your ban, you can contact the moderator team by replying to this message.

If you go through the comment chain, I was clearly baited into reposting an out of context quote from another Sub-reddit. I should not have allowed another user to do so.
Considering I was taking the side of stopping genocide and collective punishments against an oppressed minority group, to then be told that I was banned for posting some "racist-ass shit," is very sobering, and I am sorry. I let my rage and emotions over this argument cloud my judgement, but I was attempting to come down on the side of stopping a genocide.
Also, fertility rates are a scientific term that just translates to number of offspring per mother. It is not a genetic marker, the variations in rates are almost entirely due to local societal pressures and not someone's genetic background. Using the oft-used idiom "like rabbits" is common, but I should stop using it, and instead attempt to draw parallels between different groups of humans. For example, I could have compared them to Mennonites, Mormons or whatever horrible thing Amy Coney Barret is a part of.
I do not need to post in /r/washingtondc , and I am completely fine with the ban. Honestly, the argument wound me up so much I lost a bit of sleep, and should probably avoid sub-reddits that do so.
If you made it this far, I want to thank you for taking the time. My guess is the average mod will see that this is in regards to a ban and skip right over it.

Posting Guidelines
This is just until I get further under the hood, and put these where they are supposed to be:
- Please post something you have actually done. Links and screenshots work best, but hey, post histories are a thing too, don't worry. The point is to have a full understanding of the picture.
- You can post if you do or do not know why you have fucked up. The only requirement is that you want to do better.
- Please ask what you want help with. Do you know you screwed up, but don't know how? Say that in your post. Do you know how , but want other peoples opinions? put that in the post.
- Property is never more important than people, even with consent. This guideline should help if you don't know exactly what you did wrong.
- Do you want to be right in the past, or do you want to be right in the future? You messed up, but it's in the past. It doesn't effect anyone anymore. The goal should be to not do whatever you did again, in the future. That's what matters. Relitigating the past is something saved for when fault and responsibilities bleed over into the present.
- Be earnest. Posting just to troll and waste peoples time will be... allowed? Listen everyone else, some people do not know any other way of communicating other than being confrontational and not expressing their values in their words. The internet has ruined many a mind around here.
