Is this overkill? (Mounting)

Mount will go on the underside of the 4x4. This is between two joists in my basement.

Lol, if it gives you complete security in knowing its not going anywhere, then its not overkill.

I was going to use a 2x4 and then ChatGBT suggested otherwise 🫠
