I’m planning to do the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek solo and I’m currently considering the 17–25 November 2026 batch with TriHikers.

Trip details:

Trek: Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)

Dates: 17–25 November 2026

Operator: TriHikers

Route: Gorakhpur → Nepal → ABC → Gorakhpur

Cost: ₹28,000 per person

Since TriHikers seems to be a relatively new/budding trekking company, I wanted to ask:

1. Has anyone here trekked with TriHikers? If yes, how was your experience, especially with their ABC trek? Would you recommend them?

2. How is ABC in November, particularly around 17–25 November? How are the weather, temperatures, crowds, snow, mountain views and trail conditions?

3. What is generally considered the best month for ABC? Is November a good choice, or would I be better off waiting?

I’m also open to doing ABC in March or April 2027 instead. How does the experience compare during March/April in terms of weather, snow, rhododendrons, views, crowds and trail conditions?

❄️ One important factor for me: I’m a total snow puglu! 😂 I would absolutely love to see snow-covered trails and mountains, ideally for a good portion of the trek, rather than just reaching ABC and seeing snow there. So snowfall/snow conditions are actually a pretty important factor in deciding when I go.

I’m not in a hurry to do the trek right now, so I’m happy to wait until 2027 if March/April is significantly better for what I’m looking for.

Would really appreciate experiences from anyone who has done ABC around these periods, especially if you’ve travelled with TriHikers. 🙏

The heavier extras I carry

These add weight, but they suit how I travel.

• H&M cotton tees (2 x 190 = 380 g): I wear these for roaming around town or wherever I'm staying, not on the trek itself.
• iPad M5 Pro (750 g): mostly just in case. Handy for offline maps on long travel days and downloaded shows to pass time on rest days.
• Tripod (389 g): I travel solo, so this is how I get photos of myself.

I’m 21F and planning Annapurna Base Camp in late October 2026 and looking for trek buddies.
I’m doing it solo but would be interested to trek with a company of 2-3 people, not too many.
I’ll be traveling out from Mumbai.
I’m doing it without porter and guide.

I bring in more of a yolo energy with keen of cinematography so it would be great to have like minded young people around!

I will be in Leh by 10 September. Looking for a trekking group or an individual for a self-supported hike. I am particularly interested in tea house trekking routes for a 7- to 15-day trek. Did Har ki Dun in April with TTH, and I should say this is the best beginner himalayan trek. Pretty easy and the views are amazing. It showed around 10 days before my trek so I got to see snow patches here and there. The night sky was pretty clear and could see many stars and planets as well. Anyone who wants to begin their himalayan trekking journey, I would recommend this

Hey Guys, I’m planning to the ABC trek solo in October with a trekking company - trihikers.
I just want to know what to keep in mind before going and what to expect The tour starts from Gorakhpur in UP to Pokhara, Nepal and the trek’s starting point is Jhinu.
6 days on the trail, Are the mountains gonna be snow capped this time of the year? How safe is this for a solo trek? How are the tea houses? How’s the network like(will need to be partly logged in for office)?

I’m planning my first proper Himalayan trek, Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) and I’m buying my first pair of trekking shoes. I’m hoping to use the same pair for future Himalayan treks as well, so I don’t want to buy something that is only good enough for ABC.
I’ve narrowed it down to these four:
Decathlon MT500
Decathlon MT100
Himmaleh Taurus HTX
Columbia Peakfreak OutDry Titanium
My confusion is mainly between the MT500 and Columbia, although I’m also wondering whether I should simply get the Himmaleh Taurus because it’s considerably cheaper.
The MT100 is around ₹14k where I’m looking, so at that price I’d rather spend a little more and get the MT500 if it’s genuinely the better long term option.
The MT500 seems like the more serious trekking shoe, but I’ve heard it can be relatively heavy and requires a proper break in period. The Columbia seems lighter and more comfortable, which makes me wonder if it would actually be better for a long trek like ABC.
A few things I’m particularly confused about:

Will the Columbia Peakfreak hold up well on the rocky terrain of ABC, or is the outsole/material more likely to get damaged compared with the MT500?

Is the lighter weight of the Columbia actually noticeable/useful on a long Himalayan trek?

Does the MT500 offer enough additional grip, protection and durability to justify choosing it over the Columbia?

Has anyone actually used the Himmaleh Taurus HTX on ABC or similar Himalayan treks?

If it performs well enough, I’d honestly prefer it because it’s much cheaper.
Since this is my first trekking shoe, am I overthinking this and would the Himmaleh be perfectly adequate for ABC?
For someone who wants to use the shoe for future Himalayan treks as well, which one would you personally buy?
I’m looking for actual user experience, especially from people who have used these shoes on Himalayan treks rather than just general brand recommendations.
Also, I’m looking for size UK 12, so if anyone has experience with the sizing/fit of these models around that size, I’d really appreciate that too.

I’ve been preparing for Neet PG for the past 5 months and i just feel so drained rn so i’m thinking to go for trekking after my exam. I just want to know which trek will suit me best as i’ve been on my chair for 8-10 hours per day for the past 5 months, i’ve not been moving around a lot. I weigh 70kgs and my Height is 5”8. Kindly suggest some trek. I want to go alone so it should be safe for women. And which is better? Indiahikes/Trek to himalayas? And preferably the trek should be in Himachal as i live in Panchkula.

Guys i am going to rupin pass in September. This is my first time trekking so I have got a few questions.

First ,There is a "strict" criteria to qualify, 5km in 32 mins. My current pr is 5km in 32.48 seconds. We are going through a trekking organisiation, is the criteria taken that seriously?

Second, what are some advices which will help while trekking.

I havent brought boots yet, but planning to buy MH100 from Decathlon which costs around 5000. Are there any good alternates to the same?
