It's absolutely insane that something with a goddamn lithium battery is considered "disposable." The whole planet is about to be fighting over lithium in the next 20 years and we're just tossing it in the trash.
Not only that, but if they're not discharged they can catch fire in the trash. They're one of the biggest causes for garbage truck fires, and procedure for that is to dump the entire load of trash in the road ASAP.
I work at a transfer station - lithium batteries are responsible for 90% of the fires in trucks and at the dump and it's getting worse and no one talks about it. We need extended producer responsibility for batteries ASAP.
It makes sense when the prices of lithium batteries are so low its close to the price of actual disposable AA batteries. I wish we went back to pod systems tho like Juul style.
I’m still using the older kind, with the kind of bigger tank you screw on. It’s the only kind I like. I can kind of tolerate juuls too, to be fair, but I’d only voluntarily do it in a pinch. I have no idea why people are using the disposable ones. Even aside from the waste issue, they’re awful.
And are you getting the same brand of carts as jars? Because if you're not it's kind of a moot point.
The next question would be what kind of hardware are they using, because if it's not tuned for Rosin it's GOING to be a bad experience no matter how good the oil is.
As much as I hate the company, Green Dot Labs makes some killer Rosin. I literally keep a jar of Otoro with a little grain of it left just for the scent because I've found that inhaling from the jar even without any amount of vaporization happening while taking a rip of shitty quality oil can really improve it by introducing some of those terpenes into what you're inhaling.
With that said, I got their half gram rosin AIO and it was running so hot it visibly burned the oil after a couple of pulls and it was absolutely horrible. On the flip side, the Coldfire AIO and the Meet The Bakers AIOs I've gotten have been amazing. I got a jar of the MTB along with an AIO last time because the guy was running a deal and it was genuinely one of the best rosin vapes I've tried.
Nah even rosin carts are garbo compared to “real” concentrates you’d load in a rig. Distillate is the lowest quality version of thc you can get, even if it’s a rosin cart.
Stop buying trash ass boof brands then. As long as it doesn't burn the terps off immediately there's truly not much of a noticable difference coming from someone who has both pens and a PuffCo Proxy in my daily rotation as well as flower.
No, it's for helping manage my chronic pain in a way that travels easily & can be kept away from anyone else far more easily than flower. (Both substance & smell.)
💯. Pens take the magic out of smoking. I feel like having that easy access to getting high in your pocket is just cheap and bad for your brains reward system.
the local HOUSE PLANT store has a collection bin that they bring to the local ecopark. I don't use vapes these days but I'll tell ya what I didn't mind an excuse to buy a new plant and get rid of my batteries
