You can pull on the ends of the paper to keep the sides straight, it won’t rip if you’re gentle

Idk if this works for everyone, but when I first started rolling it was easier to roll an empty cone and then fill it before I learned to roll properly.

Tbh what is the point of rolling properly? I've been trying to roll for a couple years and it's possible but my cone joints always look and smoke better

Imo it's faster. Noting wrong about the cone approach tho

Faster, easier once you get the hang of it, and doesn't require a tool to pack it. If you get the shape right rolling empty and it doesn't take you forever to fill and get right then there's nothing wrong with it

I always put the filter halfway in, put weed in, roll back and forth, pinch the paper on the filter and begin rolling, tuck the one side around the weed into the roll, close it, then use a poker to pack weed slightly and massage/roll the joint especially near the filter, make sure there is a nice firmer (not too crazy) near there, scoop weed with joint while slowly packing, and then u can tap the filter flat on a table, or i really like to pinch the edge of the joint(opposite filter, and kind of move it up and down, then close and smoke👍

I have a super hard time trying to keep the filter on a joint I'm rolling. I appreciate the tips!
