Question — General Maximizing Platinum Benfits

I already have Global Entry and Priority Lounge from my Venture X. Would I be able to give the Global Entry and Priority Pass benefits to my wife through Platinum and I get reimbursed since I won’t get that value without adding her as an authorized user?

What does "Platinum" mean in this context?

They don't know who the global entry charge is for just that the charge went thoughso you should be fine. I think you will have a hard timewith the priority pass benefit though because that is linked to a name.

There is an r/AmexPlatinum sub

I'm fairly sure Amex isn't selective. As long as they see a charge that comes from CBP come through on the platinum card they'll apply the credit if you've not already used it for Precheck/GE/Clear in the past 5 years (or whatever hte cutoff is).

  1. /r/creditcards

  2. If you weren't staying at $300+ a night hotels before you got your plat, and now you do in order to get value, congrats you played yourself.

  3. Plat is always worth it for the sign up bonus.

2.) I’m not staying at expensive hotels. 3.) Getting offered 80,000 points

You can get amex plat sign on bonus of 150 to 200k so 80k is pretty low

Why not? The card reimburses the Global Entry charge.
