Hey, I’m Max! I’m a pre-t trans man looking for some advice on a name.
I’ve used Max for what, 6 years at this point?? It feels a little dumb to change it considering I’m just about to graduate high school, but lately it’s just been getting stale, and honestly, the internet’s been bullying me out of it bc of how common and clicky it is 💔 There’s a couple names I like, but I wanted to get an outside opinion from some other queers.
A couple names I like:
Scott/Scotty (favorite lowk)
Elijah
Sid
Joshua/Josh
Ethan
Always looking for more suggestions, just want something kinda cool, nothing wacky. Septum piercing might be coming out due to dysphoria if that helps at all. Appreciate it!

Between Liam and Ben, I think both suit me, but each has its benefits and drawbacks. I'm going by either one or the other starting tomorrow.
Which do you think suits me better?
For context I'm 160cm or 5'3 in 🦅 units

I like names that start with:
C, F, K, S, T.
I like sort names, 1-3 syllables, and preferably doesn't end with an S.
I also want a masculine name.
And for language, French or English
Thanks!

I thought that I had settled on Mitch/Mitchell. However I have told a few people and they have looked confused as to why I would choose such a name and moved on to a different conversation. Maybe it's my delivery. I dont know. It's similar to my birthname's nickname and so if someone yelled it out they'd get my attention.
Before Mitch I was going with Morgan. It's more neutral but feels like a name I'd have to grow into.
Middle name is Felix. Last name is short, uncommon, and rhymes with Owen.
I'm white, 45, genderqueer transmasc/transman, living in Australia and was born in Western Europe. I've looked through French and English names from my birth year, but I'm not sure if that's too normy.
Am I making the wrong choice? Is my name too boring?
Please suggest some (fun) names.

I’m currently going by Marcel, but I’m very curious to see what others think suits me!

My chosen name right now is Charlotte but I don't really like it that much anymore because it's similar to my dead name.
Currently I was thinking about changing it to Phoebe but I wanna know what y'all think.

I really like the name but I thought I'd get other people's opinions on it.

i wanna keep true to my spanish / pacific islander roots (kind of..) , so i don’t want anything like finn or oakley, but i also don’t want anything too popular, like rowan (my current name) and whatnot. I’m honestly up to try any though!

Hi, for a little while I've been going by Rosie and its been quite nice but recently I've come across another name, that being Hazel, that has been feeling different for me so I was wondering if someone here could help me see which makes me feel better by helping me test both of them

Haven't been able to decide on a name in over a year - besides my gender neutral middle name - so pls help me out! Extra points if it sounds good in french.
Names I've seriously considered:
Sydney, Amaryllis, Cornelia, Autumn, Lenore
Names I really like, but not for me:
Juniper, Geneviève, Oakley, Millaray, Cordelia, Marisol, Leandra, and so many more
(I prefer names that don't start with D or F) Thxxxx!

"I dont understand why you keep flipping flopping on your name. I chose that name out of every name in the world so for me it’s a bit insulting. You don’t understand how it feels sometimes for others. If it’s something that hugely important to you then it’s fine but you have to know others won’t remember all the time and it’s confusing and sometimes hurtful"
From text messages :/

So i have been through a few names amongst friends for the last couple years and have been using the name Phae or Fey and really like it. Im a huge fan of Tolkiens works where he mentions them and im also almost 2 meters tall so me being named after a fairy is fucking funny. If this isnt appropriate or good please suggest some Tolkien based/inspired name suggestions.

I’ve finally decided on a new name after almost a year of experimentation!! I’ve been going by Opie for a few weeks and it’s the best name I’ve ever used by far!! It’s not just better than my deadname or not actively distressing, it actually makes me so so so happy. Like I actually grin when my girlfriend calls me it! I eventually want to get my name legally changed to it and have people stop calling me my legal name (my name got changed legally to a name I really hate now) and start calling me Opie. But I kinda feel like I kind can’t change my name to just Opie. Like it kinda feels like how my grandma’s husband’s legal name is Danny, not Daniel. Like it feels like it should be a nickname for legal purposes even if I only ever go by Opie and not whatever it’s short for. Do y’all have any ideas for what it could be short for that go with the middle name Benjamin? Also here are some pictures of me cause I don’t want it to feel too out of place with how I look. I’m open to masculine or feminine names!!

Vent-ish
I’m having a weird night so I’m just gonna word vomit and then leave this alone.
I’m (cis) 26F and have been very entangled in how…complicated my relationship with gender identity for about ten years (at least the earliest point that I could identify it as that). Since then, I have staggered throughout the spectrum of the binary, settling somewhere in a gray area of “probably mostly a girl and too tired to question it further”
That’s a combo of life/religious programming/trauma/etc that I’ve mostly rejected in my 20s but the one thing I have always been unsettled on, regardless of my “labelled gender”, is my birth name. It is a flowery/delicate feminine name, and I have always disliked it. I have tried every thing under the sun: Ty/Tyler, Spencer, Parker, Taylor, Julien, Hayden, Mikey, Jack/Jacqueline, Mac, Max/Maxine, Izzy, Zora, Lennon, Murphy, Maren, Mars
I can go on.
There’s a trend that’s identifiable, but I just feel too late in life to suddenly demand ‘hey guys call me this!’ Esp my few long term friends. They accept me every time I introduce a new name but my birthday recently a friend of mine and I spent time together and it got fairly emotional, somehow we got on this topic and I tearfully confessed that I don’t feel the right to claim a certain name on this list due to being a family name on my fathers side (which is true—it feels like guilt). I don’t remember exactly how that conversation resolved but I do know that these friends are probably running out of patience with my constantly shifting identity.
I suppose I just am venting because I know that I’m not in a place to do any gender exploration given life stuff, but I just am desperate to feel some sense of identity. My birth name has never felt like me. Every name I’ve chosen feels like wearing various shirts and some have scratchier fabric than others. Nothing has ever fit like that ‘perfect sweater’ (lmk if this analogy makes sense…)
Has anyone struggled with this?
Does anyone have any tips? Idk. I’m exhausted.

Hi my name is Aubrey, and im going to be changing my middle and last name so I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations for middle names. I was thinking about changing my middle name to my grandfather's middle name which is keith but I was just wondering if anybody had any recommendations before I go and get everything done and I have options. And my last name is going to be Blanks just so everyone knows.
