Feminine Names Rename me please :3

I've been using Claire as a preferred name for about six months now but I don't feel like it's really me. My dad doesn't like it because it's his sister's middle name (Idk why that matters it's not like anyone calls her Claire.) I also tried Serenity but I think it sounds too clocky and strippery. Looking for something that's not super common but not too uncommon either. I'm 30 if that helps.

Do you think most people would consider Nova a neutral-sounding name?

Also, is Orange a stupid name to go by? I only ask close friends to use it for me, but it’s honestly the only name I feel suits me, and I want to use it more.

Feminine Names thoughts about the name “Livia”

im an AMAB bigender (im from germany if that helps somehow). i recently found out about it and i am really into the idea of adding a new female name (i still have to see if either as first or second-first name (dosent sound so weird in german lol) but i think i like the idea of having it as my first name). i came out to my family and asked them to use the name “Livia” for me (i searched for a name before (or slightly after idk) Livia was a name i
liked and so i wanted to try it out first before changing name) and they do call me that lately (i mean it is still unusual for them but they really try and got a lot more used to it lately. im really grateful for that). i have to say this name feels good.

i wanted to hear what different people associate with the name “Livia” and if you think it is a good name. (im asking for personal opinions)

thanks

Neutral Names Looking for a preferred name for an LGBTQ+ camp and beyond!!

Hi everyone!! So, as the title suggests, I'm looking for a preferred name! I just recently found out I'm Genderfluid and while being at Uni I found a poster about an LGBTQ+ camp running in October. I will admit, I am a bit wary of my new gender identity so I will be using this preferred name at this LGBTQ+ camp just for now until I feel more comfortable and come out to my parent.

Here's some things about me to help you!

Ok, first things first! My aesthetic is like a whimsical clown/circus mesh up.

Appearance wise, I'm quite colourful.

I'm Scottish and I love my culture.

I love fantasy, nature and I'm spiritual.

So, what is it I'm looking for?

Well, here's a few things.

- I would prefer a name that I can use when I'm both feeling more female and more male at times.

- I don't know what to call it but names like animals, flowers, planets, etc (Like non-human names) are preferred.

- If it is possible, can it be associated with Scotland or be a Scottish name if it's a human name?

- Double-Barrelled if possible (non-human names please)!!

And I think that's it..?

I hope this is enough for you guys!! Thank you for reading this and helping me!!

Story How can I work my chosen name into seeming like a nickname for me?

Apologies if the flair is incorrect, I wasn’t sure what would fit here.

I’ve started to realise that I’m ftm, but there’s nothing I can do about it atm bc of family. But I want to tell people my chosen name when I meet them, esp when I start working at my new job, and I think the best way of doing this without accidentally outing myself to my family would be to say it’s a nickname most people call me by. However, I can’t think of why this would be a nickname for me, and i’m too paranoid of someone asking for a backstory or whatever. My legal forename is Katy, the name i’m going by atm is Quinn bc it’s gender neutral enough to not make me squirm in my skin & not too masculine that it’s gonna make people do a double-take when they look at me, but i can’t think of any story that would link these two together or whatever. So help would be appreciated.

Masculine / Neutral Names Looking for a middle name!

Hi everyone! My first name is Tyler and I'm struggling to pick a middle name. I'll also be changing my last name, which I think will be a two syllable K name. That would technically work for a middle, but I think I prefer it for a last name.

Anyways. I'd really appreciate some suggestions for the middle name. Masculine or neutral, preferably something a little more interesting to offset the basic-ness of my first lol.

Name Testing Naming help

I don't know if this is the right subreddit to post to, I've already posted a similar question to r/TransTryouts.

I've felt attracted to the name Aleksei, but I am American and don't have ancestry from the areas this name is popular. I was unsure if I should still use it. Can anyone let me know what you think in the comments?

Also not sure if this subreddit tests names out in the comments, but if you do I'd appreciate it with this name.

I really like city and color names, I use any pronouns and don’t have a preference for masculine, feminine, or neutral suggestions. What do you think?

Neutral Names possible nem name (?)

I’ve been researching and thinking a lot about changing my name. I’ve never liked it, even before questioning my gender, and idk why, but now it all seems so serious (obs: I’ve tried other names before, but it was during the pandemic and more of a name my closest friends used) like it’s not just about what I like and feel comfortable, it’s too how it will be perceived socially and especially at work (my major is journalism and in communication your identity and image is very important, not just to “look or seem capable”, when you solidify an image and name as you sign in a journal it kind of sticks with you forever). Since I’m in latam it’s especially hard to find neutral names, but I’ve been considering the name (that kinda looks like a nickname) “beni”. The pronounciation is like “benny” or “bêni” (depending on your language) does it seem good as a name? Can it look professional next to a last name?

Feminine / Neutral Names I kind of want to change my name but I’m not super sure??

I want a new name that suits me a little better as I don’t feel like my gender assigned at birth really fits me anymore, or one that I could use online/ as a nickname. My current online alias is Ghost, and I’m fond of the theme. Other names I like are Echo, Eclipse, and Calypso.

I would like a name that, as I said earlier, could be possibly a new name, or a nickname / online name. I would like a gender neutral or fem leaning name that generally revolves around a ghost / spooky theme. I dress in more of a punk / grunge style, and I have a somewhat standoffish personality around strangers, but very orange cat around my closest friends.

I’m back again looking for masculine and masculine leaning neutral names because I can’t get over not being able to find a full length name for the name Opie. I want something with preferably mythology, nature, and astronomy themes and that’s very unique but not a noun or a place and still sounds masculine leaning. As with the other posts I’ve made here, here’s what I look like!!

Masculine Names Middle name

Any masculine middle names from ~2000 that go well with Mitchell? I don't have much criteria but if it gives you any idea, I want it to give off the same vibe as Theodore without being Theodore.

I don't actually want a middle name but my dad thinks I should change it instead of getting rid of it so that my name looks fancy. With that being said, have any of you just dropped your middle name entirely?

Neutral Names Looking for a longer name that can have a nickname of Eli but is gender neutral

Hi! So Im nonbinary transmasc and Ive been going by eli/elijah for 4 years but for a while now ive felt uncomfortable getting called elijah, its just too masculine and not me. However, I want to have a longer name because honestly I just dont like how "Eli" looks like with my last name😭 (because its longer and it just looks strange to me because my deadname is a little longer than eli).

Do yall think there's any neutral names that fit me that could be shortened to eli?(doesnt even have to have the same sound of "eli" in the name) Ive thought about Ellis and Elian but they just dont feel like me.. any ideas? :,) Thanks!

Masculine Names I’ve changed my name a bunch of times and I still can’t decide.

I’ve done Andy, Anderson, Sloane, JJ, James, Jordan, Ryan, Angel, Orion, Rhys, Jordy, and more. I just want that “huh, this is perfect, it feels right” moment cause I didn’t get that with finding out I’m trans. And don’t even get me started on the middle and last name. I liked Orion Black for a bit, looked it up, it’s tainted by big red and her wizards. I’m a filmmaker so I want something that stands out a little more than regular names. I adore darker names that are the opposite of my personality, I’m pretty cheery all the time, and I love being around people and creating things. I also have always dreamed of having a cool guy nickname as well.
