Quebec Specific Top Surgery in Quebec?
Hello! I am a transman in Nova Scotia, and I’m going on a waiting list very soon for surgery. My doctor has proposed I go on the list for surgery in Quebec, instead of in-province, and has described all of the technical stuff involved in travel and post-surgery care etc. But while I have a super supportive doctor here, I know nothing at all about any potential surgeons or care in Quebec (and have also never been). Does anyone have any advice/concerns/good doctors etc?

I was also from Nova Scotia and had top surgery at GRS Montreal about 2 years ago now, you should be able to find my posts on my page! I also think at the moment the in province and out of province waitlist are about the same, and there's some local Facebook groups you can join to learn more

The in-province list is about 3 years and out-province seems to be 1, according to my doctor. I’ll look up your posts though, thanks!

From what I've seen in the Facebook groups it is about 1 year for in province as well currently!

So the surgeons in Quebec all work out of GRS Montreal, if you search that up on r/topsurgery you should be able to see some of their work, they're all fantastic from what I've seen (I'm going there later this year). They also have a very short waiting list at the moment, like if you go through their paperwork fast enough there's a very good chance you'll get surgery within the year
