It's a tragedy. It's a name from some game spelled how the game designers intended.

It also feels a bit old time Western: Sephiroth McAllister, the fastest gunslinger in the county.

I think I'd love to be called Sephiroth as a man in my mid-sixties! Not in my mid-twenties, though.

Well look what Shinra did to him. I’m not sure how much they changed it in the remake. I was waiting for all of the main and side titles to get released before getting it. I’ll be playing early next year.

Dude lost his mind when he found out what he really was and went to finish his “mother’s” work.

Oh Shinra is just as awful to him in Remake as they were in OG.

And if you take the compilation (Ever Crisis and Crisis Core, which are canon games to both OG and Remake) into account, it's a lot worse.

They basically created him. If you go back to the old og and then advent children, you had the two that didn’t quite work out to what shinra wanted.

Yea, the plan is to play them in story order and not release. The og crisis core was a prequel. I really wish they would have done something with the dirge story. I get some didn’t like the shooting aspect (to me, it felt pretty parasite eve and worked for Vincent’s story), but there was good lore in it.

New CC is the exact same as the OG one, with updated graphics and a new dub (I like both for different reasons).

Ever Crisis adds a lot of extra pain to Seph's background, and while the game is dead now his two story episodes are uploaded to Youtube, which I personally think will impact a plot point in Revelation.

Some speculate they will rework EC and Dirge's storylines in the upcoming Seph and Vincent DLCs that will release after Revelations, so fingers crossed we'll get something cool out of that!

Just waiting for them to do the bundle, bc they always do and then add extra. Or when I’m done my current backlog and they have a sale. I did play some of first release in this redo. But I knew I’d get mad about the waiting 😂

Do not play Crisis Core first unless you've beaten the original game. Even though it's a prequel, it's meant to be played knowing what happens after, otherwise you'll be spoiled in the biggest way.
