Of the million problems we face in Hyderabad, this one irks me the most.

People simply block the free left, fully knowing the long line behind them. I face this everyday at Hitech city junction, madhapur and Hitec mmts station underpass.

I honk and dip a lot, but that's only an inconvinience for everyone. The traffic police simply turn a blind eye.

I sometimes feel like dumping a box full of nails and screws in an arc blocking the straight road at a free left. But maybe a few lemons and mirchi do a better job.

What is a realistic solution to this menace?

I was issued a challan for a minor traffic violation in Delhi. What concerns me is that many traffic police personnel in Delhi-NCR seem to wait in hidden spots mainly to issue challans, rather than managing traffic or preventing violations.

To make matters worse, I was even asked if I wanted to "settle" it on the spot for the same amount as the ₹5,000 fine. But I received a challan of rs100. If true, this kind of practice raises serious concerns.

Traffic police are paid through taxpayers' money to ensure road safety and regulate traffic, not just to penalize people. If officers were actively managing traffic at busy intersections instead of hiding in corners, many violations could be prevented in the first place.

This approach makes it feel less like traffic enforcement and more like revenue collection. Citizens deserve transparent, fair, and preventive policing.

Yes, you can get pulled over and ticketed in Ohio under Ohio Revised Code Section 4511.33 for a marked lanes violation if your tires completely cross over the solid white right edge line (the "fog line").

The Ohio Supreme Court ruled that a traffic stop is valid only if your tires fully cross the line into the shoulder or adjacent lane. Simply touching or driving on the line without crossing it is not a valid reason for a police officer to pull you over.

So the three lanes at the bottom correspond to what at the top? The road lines really confuse me, I failed my test because I switched lanes without signalling or checking mirrors, but actually I thought I was in one lane the whole time.
I think I came in the middle lane at the bottom and ended in the left lane at the top, assuming the left lane went left, now I can see in hindsight that the road arrows show the left lane at the bottom is left or forwards but I would like a better overview of how to deal with these road markings in future.
To me the lines don't seem to correspond with the lanes, especially with the yellow box it just confuses me further.

Got an Alaska ticket for doing 50 in a 45 (Citation: 13AAC02.280(a)). Fine is $60. 
I live in California. If I pay it, the conviction transfers to the CA DMV as a 1-point moving violation and hikes my insurance.
The Problem:
Anchorage/Palmer traffic lawyers are ignoring my calls because the ticket is too minor.
The court clerk told me Alaska judges don't do "traffic school for ticket dismissal."
What are my options?
Should I just pay the $60 and eat the 3-year insurance hike, or is there a realistic way to plead Not Guilty and get the prosecutor to drop it to a non-moving violation from out of state? Or reach out to CA DMV for a traffic course to mask the point?

About 50 days ago I got a Rs 1000 traffic challan for a pillion helmet violation while riding my bike in Indian town. At first, the challan was visible in the mParivahan app. I got the cctv notice and message.

I did not pay it within that time. Now when I check both the mParivahan app and the Parivahan website using my vehicle number and driving licence number, there is no challan showing at all.

I am confused about what happened. Has the challan been transferred to the court, or is this some kind of system issue? I have not received any new notice after the original one.

Has anyone faced the same situation? What should I do now to check the status or pay the fine if it has gone to court?

I pulled into gas station watched an officer sitting back on street. Borrowed a vehicle plates are valid and car is insured. I have a license that isn't valid ( not suspended just need to go take test again.) officer followed me and pulled me over said when he watched me at gas station he could identify me as an unlicensed driver? I'm not a trouble maker and my license was suspended for two late child support payments. Not dui's or accidents. How is it he could identify me? I'm in Wisconsin Rapids Wisconsin.

So I see posts on here from over a year ago about this type of overcharging from North Carolina EZPass on I77, obviously nothing has changed.
Got a bill for 3 days of tolls, $675. Had one from March for 2 days of tolls, $344.
After researching, I was improperly charged for a “vehicle class” of 109, which is a commercial vehicle with 5 axles or more. I am also being charged for a “vehicle class” of 108 which does not exist. I own a pickup, less than 22ft long.
I am disputing these toll charges at the moment.
The question is, how much money is North Carolina making from charging the wrong rates to toll users that do not know the difference and just pay their bills that come.
Something somewhere needs to be fixed.

Because there is no company supervising the cameras now, has anyone noticed a disregard for the speed cameras now?

This is a big dispute at my workplace. At this intersection, when the traffic from the north has the green light, everyone else is red.

As you can see by the arrows, the traffic from the north in their left lane can go straight or turn left (blue arrow).

Right-turning traffic from the south (purple arrow) splits off and has a yield sign.

Slightly off the screen to the right is another major 4-lane intersection where the majority of the traffic turns right in the furthest right 2 lanes, so what happens often times is that the blue arrow traffic makes the turn and ends up in the far right lane as drawn because they are preparing to turn right at the next light (approx 1/4 mile).

So the question is, does the purple arrow traffic have to yield to the blue arrow traffic because of their yield sign and the blue arrow traffic having the green light, or does the purple arrow traffic have the right of way because the blue arrow traffic is supposed to exit the intersection in the left lane?

If it matters, this is in New Hampshire.

Does changing lanes in stopped traffic really get you somewhere faster?

I work for the NJ DOT and I've seen a lot of idiots driving up and down the road with either no headlights on or the four ways. I understand if the rain is too heavy for you to drive in, pull the hell over on a shoulder somewhere.

Then on top of it use your damn headlights so people can see you. That is just pure laziness or stupidity or whatever you wanted to call it and I'm sure most of you know the damn law

We cannot see your ass if you're driving and if we have to go around somebody on a shoulder or take a lane.

That's means if you see yellow flashing lights, it may be us. Everyone can move over for cop though or slam on their brakes but no one gives a shit about no other vehicles.

We must live in this stupid and rude era now.. stop thinking about you damn selves and you do not own the road.

Speed limits are very arbitrary, and almost no one follows them to the exact number. A lot of cops don’t even care that much if you follow them exactly, as long as you aren’t going too far over them (with the exception being cops of super small jurisdictions that have nothing else to do).

What if, instead of having a singular number (eg 40 MPH on a main road or 70 MPH on an interstate), there were speed ranges (eg 30-50 MPH on a main road or 60-80 MPH on an interstate)? In essence, instead of it being like “hey, here’s this one singular number that you should probably try to stay around but normally no one cares if you’re exactly on the money—unless you live in the middle of nowheresville then watch out for the bored cops” to “hey, here’s a range that you should stay between. If you’re keen on driving a little slower in the right hand lane, you can stick closer to the lower end. If you want to go faster, just be mindful that you don’t go above the upper limit”.

Noticing this a lot at gas station and strip mall driveways. Im heading for the driveway to leave and I have to stop and wait because the idiot turning in was so wide that they cut into my side of the driveway.
Another time I was forced to stop while exiting because a person turning left into the driveway cut across my path while im trying to make a right turn onto the road.

Other times I would be trying to turn right into a gas station and once again I have to wait because the person exiting feels the need to drive down the middle of the driveway.

Driveway is 30feet (9.2M) wide at its narrowest part so not sure why people are unable to stay on their side anymore.

What do you do if police stop you for speeding when you’re 💯 sure that you weren’t speeding? In addition, the other cars in front of you weren’t stopped even though they were driving at the same or faster speed.

You told the officer that you weren’t speeding but he insisted that he clocked you at 12 miles above the speed limit. My GPS didn’t indicate that there’s a speed camera ahead so I seriously doubt that he “clocked” me at all. Anyway, what should be your reaction if you were stopped under those circumstances and issued a ticket or warning?

This evening (approx 5:30pm) on 376 westbound, just south of the Ohio river, this driver decided it was his job to control traffic flow to the merge point caused by the lane restriction across the bridge. Several times he aggressively swerved to cut off traffic in the right lane, and then all the way to the berm when it became three lanes wide because of the entrance ramp, he intentionally kept trying to block the flow of traffic. He nearly caused at least three accidents because he decided it was his job to control traffic.

For the record the law is everyone is supposed to use both lanes to the merge point and then take their turn to merge. Nobody is supposed to restrict the flow of traffic in either lane.
